Installed these speakers in my grand prix, installation was time consuming but not too difficult, had to go to menards to buy a special drill bit to cut a hole in the door panel to mount the mid/tweeter. once installed the speakers sound great. had to return a woofer for warranty after 10 months of use. awesome speakers for the price

Outstanding power; in fact the most powerfull in this woofer size available to my knowleadge.
Great quality crossovers give the system a professional sound performance. A+
Worst thing is the woofer protective screen is so plain and spartan. They should've worked five more minutes on its design. It really does not keep up with the rest of the system.

They can scream.... loud and clear but if put too loud the tweeters shut down. I took the plastic cover off the crossovers and they don't seem to cut out as much. They're running at 85 RMS and are worth the money but if run too high they give out a little, and don't expect to get any bass from them def meant for a add on to a system with subs.

I own a 2001 BMW Z3 and I thought I could install the tweeters in the original area designed for them. I had to get them custom installed in the doors right under the original ones. They sound way too loud, specially the tweeters. After installing these you will automatically realize that you need to install a sub, otherwise your treble will be way to strong against a very poor bass. 100% Recommended

I bought this set for a friend's BMW E46 325i which has factory provisions for a 3way in the front doors.
The mid/tweeter fits the BMW doors like they were actually made for them - ZERO modifications were needed. The midwoofer needed a custom mounting ring though.
Woofer -
I believe that the mid is where this component set really shines. It has very good midrange presence and a decent amount of midbass for 5.25" woofer. The picture listed doesn't really do them any justice - excellent build quality and beautiful to look at, it is a shame that they will be hidden behind the factory grills in my friend's car. The cone is solid spun aluminum which results in a very stiff cone. It also appears that the suspension relies a lot on the surround as it's extremely stiff as well.
Mid/tweeter -
This mid is very interesting...hard domes are a rarity in car audio these days. I was not able to examine the mid much but it appears to be a built around a neo magnet. The tweeter is about the smallest as they come. They are compact and surprisingly smooth for a hard dome. From what the specs indicate on the manual it appears that the mid really acts as a tweeter and the tweeter acts as a super tweeter. Not a problem in my books - they sound great together.
Crossover -
The crossover looks like they are built out of good parts, they only gripe is that it only had tweeter attenuation (6db) adjustments. I would like it to have midrange adjustments or even bi-amp capable.
All in all these are about the best 3way speakers you can buy at this price point. The set sounded very natural for being metal cones/domes.
This set is powered with a 100w x 2 amplifier and so far so good as my friend is extremely pleased with these speakers.
