i thought you could only have more than one battery if all the batteries where the same size?? (and run in parallel) say i have a 1000 cranking amp under my hood but need some extra boost and don't want to shell out for another 1000 amp battery and want to stick 2 of these in the back, can i do that? or do i have to have an isolator?.. is this xp series of battery not effected by the all batteries needing to be run the same size?.. thanks!

What would be the correct Battery model for a 2009 Polaris Ranger 700? Meaning which one will fit. Also running stereo, two amps, 4 6" in roof, and 2-12 subs.

Can this battery handle 1000 watts RMS?
Im confused as to what 750 cranking amps means, does that mean 750 watts RMS? or can it actually go above that, because my stock alternator handles around 80 amps so thats about 700-800 watts, and I have a battery under the hood that I assume handles 300-400, so do I need a stronger battery in the trunk or will this suffice?
ant222 on Aug 25, 2014
Best Answer: Hello Anton,

The cranking amps do have a say in the total RMS that you "should/can" run along side it. The "formula" isn't exactly as easy as just 1ca = 1w , but it is a very common 'rule of thumb'. As you can see from the awesome responses our customer have provided, its dramatically varies from setup to setup & car to car . It is, however, safe to say that this kit , as an auxiliary battery, will work well in your 1k RMS project, and will work WAY better than a capacitor (just in case you were wondering).

Need help finding a battery because i have 2 alpine swr12s dual 2 ohm with power acoustik gothik 4500 when i play it loud my car lights dim and the dash, I already have a duralast gold about 800 cranking amps need a battery for a second battery that will be mounted in the back?
Ryan D on Nov 1, 2014
Best Answer: Hello Ryan,

Although the XP750 may , in fact, be exactly what the amp needs to run more efficiently, the figures suggest you will need the XS Power XP950 . However, we suggest considering the XS Power D680 , because it is Far more practical, and often cost Less than the XP950 .

Would this be what I need for Pontoon Boat system? I am planning to install a system consisting of Kenwood KMR-D362BT Head Unit, Kenwood KAC-M1804 Amp, Kenwood P-WD250MRW 10" Marine Sub/Amp Package, and 4 KICKER KM6000 6.5" marine speakers; would this be what I need to power everything? Don't want to drain the boat's main battery but have never done a boat install before so I am not quite sure. If this won't do the trick, what will? P.S. Sonic is the greatest!

Best Answer: Looks like it should all work I recommend an isolator like the pac-200 that keeps the two batteries seperate when engine is off and when the engine is on both batteries will charge. Check it out on youtube Pac-200

I see this comes with 4 gauge I thought you needed 1/0 for a second battery I will be running around 1600 rms I want to get the d1200 up front and run this in the trunk will those 2 batterys be good together on the 1600 rms ? is the 4 gauge good enough?
A shopper on Jan 8, 2016
Best Answer: I believe it all depends on how much power your system demands. The wire from the primary battery to the auxiliary battery does not need to be that thick, from the auxiliary battery to the amp maybe yes, but also depends on how long the wire is. If the aux battery is right next to the amp, you can get away with a slighter higher gauge wire. And as always, make sure the ground is as short as possible (less than 18") and as thick or thicker than the power wire.

Looking to replace my car battery for a race application. Needing something comparable to a group 51 from a CCA standpoint. I am running a Boss 170 amp alternator. This battery would likely sit under my front fender and would need to handle some vibration. Would this work for my application?
chris s on Mar 31, 2015
Best Answer: to be honest , having an alternator putting that much out you would be fine with a regular battery, but if you are running a high proformance race car its better to be safe then sorry. the deffrance between a regular battery and for instance xp750 is that a normal battery will only allow so much curent flow to leave the cell at a slowwer pase and the 750 would putt it all it can take but also charging it back as fast. it most deffently can handle vibration,. i know this because theres not a place i go with out haven my ride beating up the block. this is what i would do, i would keep my normal battery because i know my vehical would draw about 80% of that juice leveing 20% to my non stock mods, witch in reality is not enough power., but by add an extra source power would be gett.

I have a stock alternator, the brx 2000.1d and a 10in 1500 watt sub. would this battery work good for my setup?
Nelson Z on Mar 6, 2015
Best Answer: Hello Nelson,

"Stock Alternator" doesn't tell us much because that can mean anything from a 90A alt to a 130A Alt. Moreover, "10in 1500 watt sub" doesn't tell us much either, so make sure you include proper model numbers for future inquiries. However, based on just the descriptions you've provided, the XP750 will absolutely Help such a setup. It will provide far better performance and reserve than a capacitor would. According to XS POWER, if you are going to run the amplifier at its 1ohm rating, then you may want to consider the XS Power XP950, instead. [there isn't such a kit for that battery, so it will have to be put together if considered]
