Wow! Very Impressed!
I am seriously impressed with these speakers. I honestly am kicking myself right now for all the money I wasted on more expensive speakers. I got these for my wife who just picked up a 2013 Nissan Rogue base model. The stereo was junk and the speakers were beyond junk. Being the base model, it did not even have tweeters in the dash. The front speakers were just 6x9 dual cone paper woofer/tweeters.
I first put in a Pioneer deck and that sounded marginally better. Not wanting to spend a lot of money on this stereo (since my wife really could care less) I picked these up to give them a try.
First, they have a higher sensitivity which is nice running off of a pioneer deck with no amp. They get loud. They are clear. I am also impressed with the frequency response. Very nice midrange and midbass response. It was much more than I was expecting from these. I was expecting to loose some bass moving from a 6x9 to a 6.5 speaker, but these definitely kick (especially with the kick drums). The highs are nice and clear through the silk dome tweeters and they are not harsh (I do like my tweeters bright...but these are nice and smooth).
The tweeters come with many different options for mounting, of which I used the surface mounts. The mounting hardware could be better, but it is sufficient. They mount kind of loose, so a bit of silicone caulk will hold them together.
If you are going to run a set of components off of deck power, you really can't go wrong with this for under $50. These really surprised me!
Overall, I am very happy. They are a great value. They are attractive speakers as well. The crossovers are very basic, but they are easy to install (it is all pre wired) and small enough to mount almost anywhere.

These speakers sound better than any of the other more known brands I have owned. The silk dome tweeters arent harsh and have numerous mounting options. They handle more power than those other brands too. The crossover is made permanently attached to the wiring which is not as convenient as the typical screw terminal style. Also the wire is the smallest guage I've ever seen in a car stereo. The final con to these speakers is the wire from the crossover to the speakers is pretty short requiring splicing to expand the xover mounting options. The sound for the money far out weighs the negatives in my opinion. I will purchase another pair of these for the rear deck of my car.
El Cheapo componenets. Good or trash?
I have been into car audio now for 26 years. So I know what I like and what I don't like when it comes to mids and highs for my car. Because of this, I have never purchased speakers that I did not listen to first, until now.
Being on a very tight budget, and being VERY tired of the 12 year old speakers in my 2005 Dodge Neon I decided to take the plunge and buy this set of components without hearing them first. I mean, they can't be worse than the stock 12 year old speakers, can they?
These are connected to a new Kenwood in dash CD player with no other amplification. Right away I noticed they were not as sensitive as the stock speakers, so they don't play as loud. I also noticed that even though these have a soft dome tweeter, the highs were sharper and more harsh than what I was expecting. Luckily, my deck has a 13 band parametric EQ so I was able to tone the tweeters down over the 8k hz range. Vocals were suprisingly clean and frequency response seemed smooth down to the 100 hz range where things quickly started breaking up (most likely due to the lack of power). However since I am running a subwoofer and have 6X9s in the rear deck, I crossed the components over as high pass at 120 hz and 18 db/octave and things sound good. The wires coming out of the crossovers are also very short thus limiting mounting options. I mounted the tweeters in the stock dash speaker locations and put the mids in the stock door locations but I had to lengthen some wires to make them reach.
So in short, these are cheap compnents. For a majority of people, they will absolutely love them. For those with a good ear, they need a good EQ to flatten the response and tame the highs down then they are bareable. For those of us old farts that are loosing our hearing, put an amp on it and you will be satisfied.
cadence speakers
while I haven't installed yet the build quality and style look and feel are very stout and promising.
