When it is time for some serious power for your car audio system, Hifonics is the way to go. The Brutus Series Amplifiers are in line with the high power output that Hifonics is known for.
Incorporating Super D-Class circuitry allows for dedicated, efficient power for higher bass response without sacrificing sound pressure. The Ultra-Fi MOSFET outputs chosen for the Brutus Series are typically used for music production where high power, efficient cooling and minimal distortion are key. They allow these amps to produce high power with minimal distortion.
The included bass knob can allow you to adjust your bass to match any genre of music you listen to. The Brutus Series also has RCA outputs for daisy chaining multiple amps together for even more power. Designed to get loud, the Brutus Series Amplifiers are ideal for a pounding audio system!

First of all let me say that I do like this amp, from the features to the illumination, to the overall capacity of the amp. This amp is currently running two NVX VCW124's at a steady 1 ohm load. I have the subs in a ported box tuned for 38hz with 2.25cu-ft per chamber, so I am pushing 550W RMS to each speaker, and it sounds amazing.............that is........until.....the amp overheats. I have lined my trunk with dynamat to help with sound quality, spl and temperature also. Now I am not trying to dog this amp one bit, but overheating?!?! Really? So to help with this method i have modified the amp slightly with two fans that I attached to the back side of the amp (keep in mind my amp is sitting on a slant with nothing behind it). So far so good. I ran those fans on one individual ground separated from my car audio, and connected those fans with an ignition power wire so the current is not drawn from the remote wire running from my Clarion head unit, keeping the mAmp usage low so the circuit on the deck doesn't burn up. So far to the date after the mod no overheating after only 20 minutes of play time. So at this current time I like the amp but it does have some set backs.

You are getting a clean 1000 watts into 1 ohm with this amp... looks like the improved the primary stage on this model to make it a touch more efficient. Best amp you can buy in this price range. Not DC AUDIO level at all... but its midrange..and value... way way way better than any of the crap from BOSS or Power Acoustik.

This Hifonics amp has the excellent appearance of all the Brutus amplifiers. It is rounder than its predecessor "BRX 1100.1D". One thing I noticed is that the newer "BRX 1116.1D" only has 1 60A fuse where as the predecessor is equipped with 2 60A fuses. It may be just me but that gives me the feeling that the predecessor is more powerful. I also prefer the more square look of the previous model.

My friend has 2 of these they make the subs slam

found this helpful.Alright amp. Fot the same money, I would go with the brx1100.1d
Its not cea compliant. While its a good amp, it is not a full 1100 watts. For the same amount , you can get the brx1100.1D and its a true 1100 watts.

I was recommended this amplifier by one of the Sonic staff (I forgot his name). I have to say that this amplifier is great so far, no issue or anything. It sounds great with the Hifonics subwoofers. I like the design, it's great. I don't really care much about loud system, not in it for the competition. I just want a good system with good sound quality. I brought this as a temporary.... Soon or later, I'll be getting something different.
