Great Receiver
I purchased this as a replacement for my aging Kenwood eXcelon X-869 that I purchased in 1998 and still works although discs get stuck in it now and then. I wanted to get into 2015 with my head unit so another Kenwood was a no brainer for me. the X-799 is a good receiver and I was VERY surprised to find the plug is the same after 17 years so it was a plug in play install with my current gear. I was able to link my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge via blue tooth and it sounds great. You can use any Mp3 player on the phone to play music.

Bought this for my brother to replace his worn out alpine reciever that he's had for around 7 years now. It took some time getting used to the different interface, but he really likes it. I personally would never use any other reciever other than Kenwood. I've owned 3 of them and I had no complaints about any of them. But for this one, I will say that when you are adjusting the specific frequencies, the setting of bands is pretty generic, it's just band 1,2,3,4,5. And it doesn't say anywhere what those bands adjust. And the adjustments are just -8 to 8. Anyways we got it dialed in and it sounds and looks great!
