Great speakers. Put in a convertible. Clarity is good at high volumes.

Hmmm. Well for the price buy these for every car you own. How's that for a review. Hell buy two in case you lose the first set. I've tried dozens of speakers from kenwood to alpine to blaupunk to sony. This destroys them all. Crisp highs and rich deep lows. A huge jump over a factory setup and really sing with a decent head unit. They are shallow mount so can fit almost anywhere and sound almost as good as components. There is a treble boost on each physical speaker that really makes a diffrence. Seem to be solid at high volumes and really sing in my jeep...which is hard because SUVs are notorious for poor speaker placement.

Good, mellow sound - not crunchy at all - and very nice bass for their size. Good volume as well. I am quite happy with these - they are exactly what I expected and wanted, and orders of magnitude better than the speakers they replaced.
The silver color of the grilles made annoying reflections in the (fairly horizontal) rear window, but some flat black spray paint took care of the issue.
My sole gripe is that the grilles are quite tall (about 1") and are thus a bit obtrusive (not much room under the nearly horizontal rear window) .

I have a set of these hooked up to a Kenwood amp, they each get 40w rms and 100w peak. I've pushed these speakers to the max of my amp and they've sounded bright and clear all the way to my amps max. The highs that come through this speaker are so rich and snappy that I just can't get enough of it. The voices sound clear and correct, because the speaker just won't distort on me. The little button on the speaker for adjusting treble up/down 3db is pretty nice. It actually does make a noticeable difference in the sound of the speaker. This is a must have for a system that needs astounding clarity!
