Review written by Thanh from Westminster, CA This is the first product I bought from Sonic and it's been a great experience. I live in Cali so I get the order the next day without paying hte overnight fee....Sweet! The product itself is great. Not too fancy but has all the bells and whistles I needed. I no longer need to waste blank CD's. the USB is awesome.

Review written by Mike from Levittown PA I have a Jeep Cherokee with a decent system. the Hifonics Zues 500Wx2 amp running 2 Kenwood KFC-W3514DVC subwoofers. i also have 2 6x9s in boxes powered by 2 little amps i got for free. i have 6x9s in the back hatch and 2 5-1/4s in the front door. i upgraded to this from a $60 dollar p**-**** head unit. im not to thrilled with it. the internal amp runs extreamly hot...but sounds good. the rca outputs were not grounded to the chassis of the stereo, so i got a lot of noise from that. also i had a lot of noise problems. so i ran a dedicated positive and dedicated negative from my battery to the head unit. it helped but still get a lot of alternator wine. so i grounded the chassis of the radio directly to negitive and that got rid of more. i also have a loud POP every time i change the cd track.... i have more work to do. but i have a feeling that some of the noise may be coming from the 6x9 amps. other then the slight noise problem...it sounds really good. i love all of the options and the ability to change all of the settings. it is really like an mp3 that has a radio and CD player in it. and it is hard to get used to... no buttons but lots of directions to push the knobs.

Review written by Calvin from Charleston, SC I like this deck mainly because it looks good in the dashboard, and it hooks up to the ipod. I actually have the Ipod Touch, and it works great with this stereo. Also, you can adjust the subwoofer levels if you have subs in your car. Every now and then it has trouble reading my burned cds, but i hardly even use cds anymore since it has a usb cord.

Review written by Chris from WI The unit performs the way I hoped it would and more. Scrolling though USB lists without interrupting the music, beautiful clarity, classy aesthetics. I would have paid $100 more than I did knowing now how happy I am with it. That's how good of a deal I received here! I need to read the manual and learn how to save a programmed EQ setting, but as much as each of my songs vary in "what sounds good" I find I am constantly tweaking the EQ (thats not a bad thing, and the unit makes it really easy). I still don't understand why its so cheap, but I have not bought a new head unit in 4 years. ************** EDITOR NOTE: WE BOUGHT A HUGE CLOSEOUT ON ALL KENWOOD IN-DASH RECEIVERS. THE RETAIL PRICE IS A LOT MORE THAN OUR NEW CLOSEOUT PRICE :).

Review written by matthew from Sacramento, CA I bought this deck for two reasons: it has a pleasing, minimally designed faceplace, and it has 4V preamp outs. I never use the FM tuner or CD player, so no comments there, but the AUX input is clean and the USB iPod interface is well designed. Its easy to browse through gigabytes of music with the 3-line display. The left control knob takes a little getting used to; it spins, clicks, and is a 4 way joystick. You'll need to play around for a week until you're able to control it without thinking. The blue lights on the bottom and top of the faceplate can be turned off, and all of the flashing effects can be disabled also. The novelty wore off quickly. Overall, a typically sound product from Kenwood, I'd recommend it to anybody who doesn't want fourty thousand tiny plastic buttons on their stereo.

Review written by mykie from Seattle, WA I've tried a number of other head units in my car, each with varying results, but the eXcelon X592 seems to do everything right. The sound quality on the X592 is top-notch, and with every adjustment you can come up with, as extensive as low and high pass filtering. The onboard amp is incredibly efficient and clean sounding, even at high volume. There are plenty of outputs for lots of expansion. The USB playback recognized my 4GB USB flash drive and the entire library on it with ease. You can even adjust the individual volume levels of the sources. Navigation through your songs is very intuitive, although sometimes, it takes time for the track names and folders to show up when you're scrolling through songs. Having the aux input and usb in the back of the unit is a welcome feature, as it makes connections to your accessories very clean and discrete. The display is easy to read and customizable Some people complain that the animations are distracting, but I feel they give the X592 some personality. Overall, I'm very pleased with this unit, it surpasses all of my expectations.
