Great for the price. Works well with auxiliary devices. Haven't played any CDs with it, however. Control setup is not the easiest to grasp.

Great unit Love being able to place the USB anywhere in my car. I dinged ease of use cause when time change rolls around and you can't find the manual changing the clock is a little tricky. Other than that I absolutely love this stereo.

I've been a Kenwood fan for a lot of years. Every Kenwood product I've owned has held up very well. My last head unit lasted 10 years and I have KW amps still pounded after 15 years of service.
I needed a 6 channel deck but I didn't want a bunch of bling I'd never use. This is a pretty straight forward deck to use with some nice usable features for a average person. A biggy for me is a rotory volume knob. The user's manual is a little weak, but that's standard for KW, but it's enough to get you going and with a little playing around, you'll be cruising through the controls like a master in no time.

This deck is great if you are on a budget. Great looking deck, ipod hook up is a usb female end, that you use your White usb to ipod cabe plugs in to it, so that is cool. The Ipod controls are a little confusing till you figure it out.The only thing i can complain about, is that if you put the random on when in a playlist or album you can't go back to the menu without turning off the random. other than that it's a sweet deck. Good for only a 100 bucks or so.

I have had mine for about 6 months now. So far it's been through a range of temperatures from 113F to 35F, plus enough humidity to actually turn paper soft like a rag. Stereo is very easy to use, looks great and is easy to see day or night, even in direct sunlight. Very simple installation. For the style and cost you can't beat it.

overall this is a great HU, the ONLY thing i dont like about it is it does not have an on volume setting. so if you turn ur car off on volume 30 and turn it back on it will start up right at 30. other than that i love the independent sub bass settings along with the speaker bass trebel mid hpf and lpf settings.

Pros:
+ Kenwood name = quality head unit
+ Sound quality is unmatched in this price range
+ 3 sets of preouts (front/rear/sub)
+ 3-band parametric EQ for compensating your speakers' flaws
+ Optional accessories can be used to gain equal functionality of head units costing up to 4x as much as this one

Cons:
- Somewhat limited in features compared to Kenwood's eXcelon line (no surprise there)
- Doesn't install itself...?

Bought this for a friend a while back and he absolutely loves it. The only complaint I have is that it doesn't come with the iPod to USB cable, but those can be bought pretty cheap almost anywhere. The sound quality is fantastic as is always to be expected from Kenwood. From what I can tell, this model only suffers slightly when compared to the sound quality of their eXcelon line (my favorite). The breadth of features provided here makes up for any of its shortcomings, though. If you desire, you can purchase any number of accessories and make this unit the near-equal of almost anything that does CDs only.

Simply put, this is, in my opinion, one of the absolute best head units for the money. I dare you to try and find a more feature-filled and all around better head unit for the same price.

the best thing about this deck is its looks. all my friends think its like a $400 deck because of the screen and knobs.

Pros: well it looks really cool. different eq's and options are nice, sub control, and screen.

Cons: when your in a playlist and you want to find a song its really hard and can be dangerous when driving. and you cant switch it to ipod control you have to do it with the knobs. its also really confusing to learn how to work.

overall i would say its a pretty good deck, mostly for its stylish looks.

sonic electronix is great but this stereo sucks. the controls for ipod are retarded and there is no option to use usb and control the ipod via the ipod plus the display is way too bright makes you glow blue at night but you can always flip the face down and still listen. the face is a p.i.t.a. to put on especialy when new. hope this helps someone make up their mind. shoulda got a pioneer

Very nice radio for the price. Only thing I don't like is the encoder for the MP3's. It gets stuck on reading. It will say reading on a song and you can't change it until you power off the unit.

Great Deal, especially considering the "Summer Sale Price"!! Wished it comes with an Ipod cable instead of an USB Extension cable, also it would be better if the headphone input jack was in the front instead of in the back. other than that it is a great deck. It controlled and played MP3s from a Nokia phone with its "USB Data" cable, It also played through the headphone input port via a extension cable that I purchased from Radio Shack. It sounded much better through the USB port though. Overall this is a great bargain if you are looking for a cheap deck that connects and controls an Ipod or USB MP3 device that sounds decent.

After going through a JVC Kameleon (very nice i might add, til i accidentally ripped the face off off) and some dual stuff, i decided to go Kenwood everything in my truck and i bought this. i had some issues with some speaker wire touching together and the head unit wouldn't do anything but go into protect mode which is very nice because without it i would have fried the unit. But i fixed that and turned it on. i love it. it has really nice controls, and it looks sick!!! Kenwood everything from the amps subs door speakers and this. sounds perfect i love it

i was very impressed w/ this head unit. i was looking 2 get it at the competitor's site, but it was $50 more there. sonic sent me everything that i needed 4 the install. after i installed it, i was very impressed w/ the quality of the faceplate, and the features that it has. like the guy below me said it is a little difficult 2 get used 2 but once u do its no problem. i did a lot of research b4 getting this head unit and would recommend it 2 anyone b/c it does what it claims and is a very good product.

My friend just sold me this reciever and it is actually a very good one. It is a little bit tricky at first but you will get the hang of it pretty quickly. It doesnt have a motorized faceplate but taht isnt a problem at all. I love this and it seems like it will last forever. I recommend it to anybody who is interested in boosting the performance of the stock stereo system or someone who wants a full blown sound system.

Well i got this item, and installed it on my 06 Chevy impala, and with Sonic, they sent me all the stuff i needed for a clean install except the GMOS-LAN (required for some GM vehicles), and i got that off eBay or cheap. Well anyway,
The stereo is really nice and really complemented my console.
The two blue circles around the main buttons are nice, and they blink like eyes to songs(in demo mode).

At first using it can be a little intimidating, but after you read the manual, WHICH YOU MUST DO, its not hard at all.

ITs really nice when its lit up at nite, unlike some units where you can see the buttons which are not on lit up from the other buttons which are on. This unit doesnt have that problem, and the display is really customizable, and you can make a nice BIG clock which takes up the whole screen, and that looks killer in my opinion.

The remote can be used to turn the unit on, but it can be used to turn it off. Ive never had an aftermarket receiver before, but after prolonged use, when i take off the faceplate, it seems really hot. It look much better than any of thoose clunky JVC'c out there, it has a simple, elegant, and very stylish "it" look and is very handsome. Did i mention it looks great?

It seems to be good quality too, with no buttons or the faceplate making any noises like creaks or squeaks i've seen on many units.

otherwise, great value, especially from Sonic.
