Since I have installed these speakers in my jeep's sound bar, the clarity has been amazing. They totally blew the factory sound out of the water. They would probably sound better if I were pushing them with an amp, but even without one they still rock.

ok so i have a 2001 ranger edge that i am installing my stereo system in. first off my stock speakers are 6x8's and i prefer round speakers, so i purchased a 2 sets of scooche speaker 6 1/2 mounting brackets for the 6x8 speaker openings, these infinity kappa's fit perfect. so i wanted to get something that i could afford but still sound AMAZING!! these are by FAR the speakers to get. i bought 2 sets and i dont even have my aftermarket deck and amps in yet and they sound AMAZING!! i am buying a Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X792 deck and then i am buying a decent 4 channel amp to power these. i have an ascendant audio arsenal 15" subwoofer thats going behind the seats so i definitely need a set of speakers that can get loud sound great and be able to overpower that sub if needed. these are them! i love the look of these speakers with the woven fiber cones and the ability to aim the tweeter at the listener really makes a difference. the external crossover is a MUST with any good audio system. i used to have a set of polk audio momo championship speakers i loved them, actually the two are very similar to eachother!!! but they dont make them anymore so, needless to say i have these bad boys. if your looking for a great set of speakers but dont have all that much money, jsut save up an exra bit of money and get these, dont be in a hurry, you'll regret it. i mean these speakers compare to sets for 3 times as much. cant wait till i get the deck and new amps. i'll get back to you when i do!!!!

What can I say, choosing speakers isn't easy. There is no way to listen to them all before your purchase a pair. You can go to Worst Buy and play around with them but you can't get a good listen in before a store goon comes up to bother you. Honestly, what are you to do? In my car I have an Alpine 9885 head unit, stock speakers, Kappa Perfect Sub hooked to a Kappa One Amplifier. I was between getting these infinity speakers to go along with my infinity Sub or getting Alpine Type-R speakers to go with my head unit. Long story short I bought the Infinities for two reasons; a) Type R speakers were sold out on this site and b) the Infinity's were 2 ohm which is a plus because I am running them off the head unit. So how do they sound? Well, they sound awesome, these things really sing. Running off the head unit they still get plenty of power and get way to loud for me before they distort. The sound is clear and the lows are complemented very well with my sub. I am glad I bought these speakers. I have no idea how the Type r's would have sounded but I don't care because the infinity's are great speakers and I am happy and that's all that matters. Also, if you read this entire review than you are probably an audio freak like me that spends way too much time scrolling the products on Sonic Electronix and I just thought you should be aware of that. Keep your volume up and your windows down, You'll hear me before you see me.
