Review written by Alex from Chicago, IL This is a pretty insane amp. I have only 1 poor Infinity Kappa Perfect 10DVQ hooked up to it at 2 ohms, and its taking a major beating. It looks like i selected the wrong subwoofer lol. at this point the kappa was so cheap, i might as well let the hifonics rock it until it explodes and get something like a JL 12W6. The amp is VERY well built. I blasted it for about an hour straight after i installed it, and it stayed ice cold. Its very clean signal too, not bad sounding bass. I always wanted a Hifonics in my car. Im not sure why, they always seem very menacing to me, and now that i own one, i see i was right. I'm very impressed with it. VERY. For me, i like SQ the most, so im not looking to power 4 15" subs. if i did, i would have got the colossus. I want a nice powerful 12" in a sealed box, maybe 2 of them. This amp will be up to the task without breaking a sweat.

Review written by furry from Dawson, IL I've had this brute for 6 months now and it hasnt let me down it has been running one boston g5 10 inch until a week ago when i added a secong g5 to the mix and i powers them pretty nicely. i love having a bass knob so i can have a little boom or alot of boom and at full tilt it makes the 2 10's sound better then most 12's in my opinion. and on another note i have the amp mounted in a closed off storage area under my trunk floor and it has never shut off or overheated. i will be buying another hifonics amp when i upgrade my highs.

Review written by Jeff from Los Angeles, CA Have this thing hooked up to a kicker l7 at 2 ohms and this thing makes my vision get blurry truly a great amp. Has a small footprint, I am able to BLAST my music for 15 minutes with the engine off and only then the battery voltage starts to drop. I have this thing hooked up to a buick regal 1993 model all with stock electrical.

Review written by Dude from LA, CA I just hooked this thing to my amp, it looks nice but sound not so good. I had own 3 amps so far, and hard over 6 to 7 amps. I still would recommend that if you want to sound good just buy an amp with a lot of power to it. I thought this amp is good enough for my 2 alpines but really this is worse then the sound storm F3600D amp. But that amp is very easy to over heat

Review written by Luke from Westlake, OH I have this amp on 2 12 inch pioneer premier in a 4.0 cubic foot ported box.. This amp is running at 1 ohm Giving 1200 of the 2000 rms and it bangs, very happy with it. There are no cons that I can think, never had any problems at all, just cant wait to upgrade.
| May 14, 2009 | The watt per dollar ratio is great | ||||||||||||
Review written by Nitro aka "mike'' from south texas I have this pushing 2 fifteen inch audiobahns in a 4.5 cubic foot (2.25 separate chambered )sealed box. Each are dvc, 4ohms each coil, 250 watts RMS per coil. This amp is running at 1 ohm. When the gain is 2/3rd's the way up and the bass boost less than 1/2 the way up, this amp pushes the subs to their limits(can push them beyond, no problem). Headunit's bass it -3 out of -8 to +8. At less than 75% volume, it really hurts. Incredible power for such a low price and small footprint. I've had this set up for almost two years, and I push it all the time. The set up makes the rock chips in my windshield run. The amp NEVER gets hot. My last 30 minute drive home, I was jamming....Amp was warm. But what's that smell? Uh oh... oh so familiar... the subs voice coils. ...oops... Does pull some power though. Not for small alternators, use a optimum yellow top. Trust me. Pros: Watt per dollar ratio is great, 1 ohm stable for great versatility, well built, durable, bass remote, small footprint and IT LOOKS GREAT WITH THE BLUE LIGHTS!!! Cons: can pull a large current. Not for use in honda civics (i'm not picking on them)or any car with small charging systems (unless you're going for the dimming headlight look) that's it. ** think about this, get two and for about 500 dollars you can get about 2,400 watts RMS** now, they are a bit overrated with the power ratings but, they are really, really close. I HIGHLY recommend this amplifier. No, not as good as your kickers, RF, no where near the quality of JL Audio, but not all of us are rich. Use real 4 gauge and a short ground and you will be set!
