Review written by mstheat12 from Cranston, RI Bought covers for 2 R-series 12" Alpine subs of different generations. Bought 1st sub about 5 years ago and just recently added the 2nd. Covers fit BOTH subs nicely, even though dimensions were slightly different on sub depth and construction. As always, Sonic had what I wanted and delivered promptly and without problems.

Review written by Brett D. from GIlbert, AZ This grill will definitely protect your subs from harm. Plus, it still allows you to admire them as well. Only downside is that it is a little pricey but well worth it and IS NECESSARY for anyone without grills.

Review written by Mario from Calgary, AB, Canada I actually used this grill on a Cerwin-Vega subwoofer so I realize it's not perfectly designed for it but the rubber surround that covers the mounting screws keeps falling off. Other than that it's a nice grill cover that has saved my subwoofer at least 4-5 times already. Great product!!
| July 12, 2007 | It's probably great for Alpine speakers but not the best for Kicker. | ||||||||||||
Review written by Michael from Salt Lake City, UT This grill is probably great for Alpine speakers since it is Alpine. I bought one for my Kicker sub and the rubber cover gasket that covers the screws doesn't stay attached very well at all. It looks great when it's on there though. The actual metal grill however is extremely secure. The grill is better that I expected. I thought that you wouldn't be able to see the sub at all but you can still see the good looking sub fairly well. And it provides the ultimate protection for your sub. I can through junk in the back of my car without worrying about puncturing or scratching the speaker which is exactly what I was looking for.
