This amp kicks ass, it's advertised as 150 watts per channel but the rating tag that came with the unit from factory testing had it at 168 per. I am powering 4 Hertz HSK 163 component speakers that are 150rms and 300peak, I have the gain on the amp up about a 3rd of the way and my system is loud as hell with awesome clarity. I originally installed an Alpine mrp-f550 that was 90rms and 180peak, it was not enough for my speakers after 2 weeks I bought the amp (pdx-4.150) I should have bought in the first place, I was trying to save a couple bucks, Instead I spent more time(installing the pdx) and money than I should have. This amp is worth every penny especially at the price Sonic electronics is selling it for.

I can't recommend this amp too highly! It puts out well above its rated RMS. Usually in the 175watts per channel region. I have mine powering my fronts and bridged to my sub and it sounds amazing.
SUPER convenient if you are limited for space or If like me you have it mounted in a stealth location such as under a seat. Sound quality is top notch also.

i have this amp in my 2007 gmc i have it pushing a pair of Diamond Audio S600A and it sounds amazing, also the small size of the amp is VERY convenient to mount where ever you need it.

The quality is tpyical Alpine, which I think is excellent. The size is VERY small for this much power and I have this stacked with a 1000x1 amp next to the spare tire under the lift out panel in my hatchback, making the amp completely hidden from wannabe theifs. The power delivery is acurate and with very, very little distortion. The distorion you do hear is likely from your speakers because there are harldy any auto front/rear speaker sets that can handle 150w rms. (the good)

Before you buy this item, please read all the specs on this amp. The SNR is only 78db. (the bad)

I thought 78 db SNR would be ok becuase I planned to use my stock mp3 cdhead unit with aux 3.5mm input. It doesn't have low level output so I figured the SNR of the amp would match the deck's mediocre quality output. The problem is that with high level to low level converters, even with their gains turned all the way up, the input voltage to the amp is too low and you have to turn the amp's input gain up. To get the amp to slam out its 150w/channel rms, the gain needs to be quite high and there is audible white noise with volume turned down, or between tracks. Now I am forced to get a new head unit high voltage RCA outputs so I can get the gain turned down to get the white noise out. (the ugly)

Going from 75x4 to 150x4 was an amazing jump. Not only are my components (DLS in front, CDT in rear, both 6.5) a lot more happy, they sound so much more clear. The small size of the amp is VERY convenient to mount where ever you need it. One big complaint is that even though it is a Class-D amp, it does get extremely hot. The price on this web site is very competitive. If 150 is a bit too much, then go with the PDX 4.100. Alpine PDX amps are the way to go.
