| Review written by john from Victoria, TX I have had this amp for a while now. Originally I had some issues with it shutting down into a protection mode. I never really figured out what was causing this. I asked around, had others look at it, no one could figure it out for sure. After messing around with it enough I found that adjusting the gain so my max playing volume was at a lower volume setting on my head unit seemed to fix the issue entirely. I do not think the amp was faulty and am certain it was not an overheating issue. I have used many different amps in the same configuration and have only had this issue with both of the Alpine amps I have used. Aside from that issue it has been a nice amp. The small size is great, and the stacking would be great for tight space installs. I really like the polarized quick connects for the speaker outputs as well. |

| Review written by Trae from Foley, AL I had this amp (still do just not hooked up) in an 85 prelude on a set of 6.5 type-r coaxials and a set of 5.25 type-r components, and it performed awesomely! Rated at 150 rms @ 4ohms per channel, I believe you cannott get a better amp! Though it doesn't have any preouts, you don't really need any because most subwoofer amps have them and that's what it should be connected to! Love the stackability and self-polarizing quick connects! Only hang up is the adjustments are not readily accessible because of the cover plate.... but you should only have to set your amp once! |
| July 10, 2008 | Great Amp, Nice compact design | ||||||||||||
| Review written by Jeffrey from Gulfport, MS This Amp not only looks good and is discreetly compact, but it produces some awesome results. I hooked this up to some Alpine components it it sounds amazing. I definitely recommend this amp to anyone looking for something to push 2 sets of Alpine SPX-REF components, since that is what I have. The only down side IF I had to pick one would be accessing the gains. There is a door that you have to remove in order to get to them, and you have to use the right size Allen wrench in order to remove the door. |
| July 17, 2007 | Nice amp tiny, great sound low on features | ||||||||||||
| Review written by Kaushal from Des Plaines, IL Nice amp, good sound quality, but no pre-output, and lacks features found on similar priced amps. Also cheap plastic on sides, and caps are also plastic. |
