Car Subwoofers

These 10" subwoofers are the perfect subwoofer for those that want to add some solid, deep bass to their vehicle, but don't have a lot of space to install a larger sub.
12" Subwoofers are the most common size of subwoofers installed into vehicles. The size of the sub makes it one of the best sounding and user friendly sizes of subwoofers available. The size provide excellent response at low frequencies.
This category contains large subwoofers that are not the most popular sizes. 13", 18" and other large subwoofer sizes provide a large surface for deeper bass. They also have a lower frequency response and a deeper sound.
Large 15" subwoofers are engineered to hit harder and deeper than the smaller 12" subwoofers. The will usually require a much bigger enclosure to operate correctly, but the result is loud and impressive bass.
Once a less common bass option, the 6.5" subwoofer has grown in popularity for today's vehicles as it is an ideal choice for smaller spaces and custom installations.
Small 8" car subwoofers are excellent for vehicles that have extremely limited space or for replacing factory 8" subwoofers. They are ideal for pumping out bass without sacrificing trunk space.
Save time and money by purchasing a sub and box together. We carry enclosed sub boxes with a single subwoofer, as well as enclosures with 2 subs or more. Additionally, we have complete packages that also include a power amplifier and amp kit.

Car Subwoofers Information

Car Subwoofers Information:

Subwoofers are dedicated to reproducing low audio frequencies and provide depth to the overall sound of your music. We carry a variety of subwoofers in all shapes and sizes. When choosing a car audio subwoofer, keep in mind the amount of space in your vehicle and your preferred style of music.

The RMS power handling rating refers to the amount of power a sub can handle on a continuous basis. We recommend giving your sub 75% - 90% of its recommended RMS rating to help prevent over-powering or "blowing" your sub. You should select a car stereo subwoofer based on the amount of power output generated by your amplifier, the sub's impedance and the voice coil specifications. Subwoofer impedance can be rated at a 2 ohm, 4 ohm, or an 8 ohm load. The number of voice coils allow for different wiring configurations. The type of voice coil setups includes single, dual, or quad voice coil.

An efficiency or sensitivity rating tells you how effectively a speaker converts power into sound. The higher the sensitivity number, the greater efficiency. A higher sensitivity rating also indicates that the speaker will play louder, given a set amount of input power. This is because an efficient speaker helps you maximize your available power. Most sensitivity ratings measure the speaker's output with 1 watt of input, 1 meter away from the speaker. Some are measured with 2.83 volts of input rather than 1 watt.

The subwoofer frequency range indicates how low the sub will reproduce bass beats. The optimal range is 20 - 20,000 Hz (which is the range of human hearing).

Component subwoofers should be mounted in an enclosure for optimal performance. We also offer premade package deals under subwoofers with Enclosures. These combo deals include enclosed subs that are mounted into a box. If space is a concern, we offer powered subs, which are essentially enclosures loaded with an amplifier and a woofer. We also offer vehicle specific subs that are specially designed to save space and match the interior of your vehicle.
