Necessary Evil

Gone are the days when a dash install was simple. Now you have to get one of these little buggers if you want to retain your chime warnings and such. Install of this unit is a royal PITA in a 00+ Pontiac Bonneville. This is not the product's fault however. It is the fault of GM (as usual). My best tip for install is to wire tie everything into nice tight bundles and drape everything down into the left side of the install cubby. If you have read reviews that some of these units have buzzers in them instead of chimes pick this one. This chime is a bit more shrill than the stock chime, but it sounds rather similar. Good luck!
