I love the speaker very clear sound and nice bass but if you do buy i would get an amp on them they crave that mineral

Clear Highs!!!!

Clear highs and mids! Running on stock Head Unit(shaker 500 mustang) they could be amplified with out any problems. Bass is no more than stock speakers but do not distort at full volume.

These are some great sounding speakers. You can put an amp on them but not necessary. I very much approve these speakers for any Ford application.

First 6X8 I know that come with a crossover, I really like that, Great highs and mids, very good bass for a 6x8's, I like the cone material, the tweeter looks like silk made, perfect fit, I just needed the speaker adapter, a very good improvement from the stock speakers, highly recommend it.

Great Speakers!

I installed these in my 99 2dr F-150 today to replace the stock speakers on the front doors. The audio is clear and the bass is great for a 6x8 speaker. They were really easy to install and i plan on buying another pair to replace my rear stock speakers.

a GREAT speaker upgrade!

I bought these 6"x8" 250W speakers to replace the 25W ones in my '99 Ford Taurus. I was originally going to purchase the Pioneer "A" series, but finally opted to spend more for these "D" series speakers. Because they have a pretty large crossover capacitor network on the backside of each speaker, there was concern over whether they would actually fit in the openings where the speakers mount, especially in the front doors. I was prepared to use a dremel-tool to cut a rectangle out in each opening, but the good news is that I didn't have to do that. The speakers fit and mounted perfectly without any modifications. I had also bought a Pioneer DEH-X8700BH deck at the same time from Sonic, and the sound is awesome, crystal clear, with no distortion. I am glad I picked the "D" series. I am sure these speakers aren't getting their full justice....I mean they are 250W each. I am sure that if I added a more powerful outboard amplifier, they would sound even better.

Perfect upgrade

Installed in my 2000 ford taurus and they sound great with my stock stereo. And a perfect fit, only took about an hour to put them in. Make sure to get the connectors for the stock wires, just plug them in.

Pioneer TS-D6802R (2007 Mustang GT with Shaker 500)

Purchased 2 pairs for my 2007 Mustang GT with Shaker 500 system.
I like the cone material and the fact the speakers have real crossovers.
I haven't had the chance to push these hard yet. The speakers made a slight improvement of the overall sound. The factory Shaker 500 system has high pass filters on the front and rear channels and is just a horrible sounding system. A new HU will make a world of difference! *2007 Mustang owners the REAR speakers are a pain in the A$$ to replace!
