Boston Acoustics GT Reference Series Amplifiers

Boston Acoustics GT Reference amplifiers are perfect for just about any situation and any installation. The GT-275 2-channel amplifier has a CEA-2006-A power rating of 75W x 2 channels @ 4 ohms, 100W x 2 channels @ 2 ohms, 225W x 1 channel bridged @ 4 ohms, and 300W x 1 channel bridged @ 2 ohms. All of these ratings give the amplifier unsurpassed versatility, whether you are amplifying a set of speakers or even a subwoofer. Q-Tune™ technology will combine your main speakers with the subwoofers, giving you bass up front and a whole new way of enjoying your music. The unique forced air cooling system allows for extreme heat dissipation and installation anywhere without the need to worry of thermal overload. Variable low and high crossovers combined with the Q-Control feature will give you complete control of all frequencies to better fine tune your audio system to better meet your personal preferences. GT Reference amplifiers provide unmatched technology and reliable power output, they are easy to install and are capable of stereo or mono operation with its DualMode™ feature. Nice Amplifier but has cooling problem

One week after installation, the cooling fan started failing. It made a high pitched screeching noise and then stopped spinning. Rather than send it in for repairs, I replaced the fan myself. It has performed very well since the repair. I have no other complaints about the amplifier. It has a very clean and powerful sound and seems to be a great match for my Boston Acoustics SR95 6x9's.

good amp

Very small, packs alot of power. It is a GT. Just like the big ones. Does not accept remote. It is big enough for a sub.

Awesome amp

Was skeptical at first but decided to pick up this amp anyway to run a set of pioneer ts-d1720c components and was not dissapointed. Mounted it under the drivers seat and it still manages to stay cool on 40c + summer days.

Pros: Perfect for a set of component speakers. Sounds loud and clear, people are surprised when they find out it's only a $100 amp. Fan is very quiet when it is on (I say that because half the time the amp runs cool enough to not need it on)

Cons: Not a fan of the top mounted controls, makes it a bit more difficult to tune when in tight spaces. Plastic mounting feet are flimsy but do the job. I also found the onboard mini anl fuse a bit odd, but it does its job.

For the money...

I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for when it comes to car audio. This little gem is no different. Don't expect it to produce like a slash series JL and you won't be disappointed. For the money, it gets down. Only con, as with any amp you overwork, is that it does get quite warm.
