Pretty amazing

I purchased this HU mainly to replace my stock one. I needed this to have sub outputs and work with my ipod. The ipod adapter cable was nice, but the thing I didnt like about it was that you couldn't change anything on the ipod (music wise) while it was hooked up. You had to completely navigate threw the HU which was a bear. I just unplugged it each time I wanted to go to a specific playlist or anything. The nice this about the ipod adapter was that it played almost instantly as the car turned on. I have moved away from using that cable as much since I realized my Ipod touches bluetooth worked. So now its wireless and I can change my songs with ease on the Ipod itself. The only cons I find with this is that the songs don't come on instantly and you can't fast forward the song on the HU. But you can go to next song, start it over, or go to last song.
The bluetooth as far as talking on the phone is okay. I have an env3 and it didn't have to much trouble connecting. I could hear the call perfectly over the speakers. The only con was that dang microphone. I wasn't going to clip it on my shirt, I couldn't really find a good spot to put it at so that the caller could hear me good enough. Also I got rather luckey with the wired microphone, because it is attached to the back of HU and doesn't reach the front of the HU ( if i remember correctly) but anyways there was a small slit under my dash for the radio that the cord went threw. Which could be barely seen but made easy connection so that the microphone didn't have to be hooked up the whole time. The bluetooth also got annoying when you didn't neccisarly want the call to go threw the HU. I fixed this by just turning bluetooth off on phone. NOTE: ipod and phone will have to be pair each time you wish to use the other. ex if you use phone, ipod will not work threw bluetooth. So if you want to use ipod you would have to pair again. Meaning one thing may be paired at a time. Which got annoying sometimes.
The radio, which I rarely use, seemed perfect. Actually picked up more stations then my stock HU did. Pretty clear quality aswell.
The biggest con I found about this HU was the fact that you couldn't really fast forward (go to a higher number track) on a CD. If you were on track 1 and wanted to go to 5 for example you would select track 5 then it would try to read CD for a good 2 minutes if not more then finally find the track and play, but if you wanted to fast forward to a further part in that track it would search all over again. But if you were already on track 5 then wanted to go back to an earlyer track (as long as the song was fully played) they would work. Also the slightest bumps made the CD skip. This might be because that I didn't put on the back bracket that supports the HU in the back, but I really had no chance because there was nothing to attach the bracket too. But I found my dash kit's piece that held the HU onto the car's dash to be plenty sturdy.
The remote that came with it was fine. Nothing super. Doesn't give signal to HU outside of car. If in backseat of car you have to aim directly at the HU. (Ipod's bluetooth has way better signal, can be read from a good 5 feet from bumper of the car)

Very durable as well. By accident, I came up from the back seat from the car when I was messing around and kicked the left side of the faceplate very hard. To my suprise none of the buttons broke, everything was completely intact other than the fact that the bracket that attached the HU to the dash snapped out of place. I just had to snap in back into place.

Installation was a breeze with the wiring harness and dash kit that came free with the HU.

I would highly reccomend this HU for anyones needs, unless they plan on using for mainly CD's due to it not reading CD's that well. Other than that it is a very amazing HU. Would purchase again if I move to a different car. All my friends are amazed by the bluetooth (when using ipod) I guess because there is no cord attached and they can change songs and etc.

Overall I gave a 4 because of the pain in the neck microphone, CD issues, and manuverability when ipod adapter is connected and trying to navigate it threw HU.

Great Value for the money. 5

Look Design 4, would be nice to change colors and be able to dim when head lights come on (stock HU was able to)

Durabiliy, I mean come on if I kicked it pretty hard and it didn't break in anyway. 6/5

On the road with Dual

I purchased this system because of the cell phone capability. We did not want our son texting and the hands free appealed to us. The system works well when it connects. There seems to be intermittent problems with the bluetooth aspect of it. Overall I would recommend the system. The sound is great and the install was not difficult at all, especially with the included install kit.

Great Radio

Picked this up as a combo with the 6.5 inch speakers. I love it, the Bluetooth works great and I love the USB. Would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Review From Bethpage, NY 2007 Accord

Just got done installing this radio, using a Scosche HA08B / HA08 harness in a Metra 99-7864 DIN Installation KIT in addition to the PAC SWI-PSv1 (New Version of SWI-PS) Steering Wheel Control Interface into my wifes 2007 Honda Accord. The radio sound much better than the factory. She loves playing her music from a USB memory device plus the control of the ipod.

The installation was straightforward, although I had to study the manuals for the radio and especially the PAC SWI. The integration of these devices worked flawlessly. I had a couple of questions that were answered perfectly by SonicElectronics support dudes.

The car - removing the vents over the radio was tricky, the Metra procedure wasn't all that accurate. I took a plastic prying tool for automotve use to pry the middle of the vent cover, adjacent to the windshield, in an upward movement to disengage the mounting clips from their respective mounts, but it worked out fine.

I highliy recommend this radio, great valu for the price.

i bought this sterio for my girlfriend for christmas

We switched her stock deck out with this one i love the sound that comes out of it and its performance. The only thing i really did not like is that you cant adjust a whole lot mid, front to back, side to side and the subwoofer is about all you get other then standard set ups.

Great Price / Great Radio

I was very surprised at the sound quality, it sounds just as good as the non-bluetooth kenwood I took out. Surely the bluetooth would not work worth a darn, WRONG.....the bluetooth works GREAT ! Incoming calls, streaming mp3's from phone and even streams Pandora!!!! So the thing is working good so far...surely the USB mp3 wouldn't work worth a darn.....WRONG.....sounds good, shows title/song info, I love it!!! Lights up good at night too. Easy to operate.

Great Head Unit

I was not looking to spend a ton of money on a head unit as it was going in a soft top Jeep Wrangler and I was worried about theft. I am very happy with this product. It has every feature I wanted and having bluetooth is great as I can stream Pandora. When the top is down it is hard to hear my cell phone normally, but with the bluetooth on I would never miss a call.
