Learn more about the cd105The Car Noise Demonstration contains actual recordings of cars traveling at 65MPH on a smooth stretch of highway with the windows rolled up and light traffic. Road noise poses a large challenge when it comes to obtaining great sound quality while you vehicle is in motion.
The Spectral Balance Demonstration shows the different frequencies in the musical spectrum when they are too loud or too soft. All the even tracks in this section contain a balanced recording, while the odd numbered tracks are unbalanced.
The Crossover Separation Demonstration plays the range of sounds that is audible to the human ear, which is usually between 20 and 20,000 Hz. It will play bass, midbass, midrange and highs(treble) so you can hear what each of those segments sound like in the typical 4-way system.
The Crossover Composition Demonstration shows how the different wavelengths of musical frequencies are intended to be played and combined at the output of the crossover to create a balanced and natural reproduction, beginning with the midrange.
The System Noise demonstration intentionally slips noise into the music tracks at higher levels on each track. The first two seconds of each track contain the specified noise level so it can be heart without the music for easy comparison. On quality systems, the first few tracks should have noise levels that can’t be herd while the last few tracks should have noticable noise levels. This dimonstration will help you understand the importance of noise levels and how they are herd in the real world.
Distortion Demonstration (Tone): Using track 39 as your tonal reference, the following 4 tracks demonstrate increases in distortion using a pure tone.
Distortion Demonstration (Voice): Track 44 begins a demonstration that is identical to the previous one, except the test signal is a voice rather than a tone. This demonstrations characteristics of a voice combined with distortion make the distortion slightly more difficult to detect.
Distortion Demonstration (Music): Track 49 begins a demonstration that is identical to the previous two, except the test signal is music rather than a tone or a voice. This demonstrations characteristics of music combined with distortion make it even more difficult to detect than distortion combined with a voice or tone.
