I bought this entry level remote start because Fortin said it was compatible with the EVO-ALL bypass datalink and because compustar is a reputable name in alarms. This thing was just a disappointment. A lot of the problems I had installing this was due to the fact that the datalink is only supported one way (from the Compustar to the EVO-ALL). This pretty much defeats the whole purpose of having the datalink since the bypass can't send information back to the Compustar, and extra connections will be needed. I spent multiple hours tearing my hair out, only to find out that I needed to hard wire a tach wire, which would have not been an issue if this unit supported 2 way datalink since the EVO-ALL would have been able to provide that information via datalink. I also wouldn't have had to hard wire a tach wire if the tachless sensing would work like it should, but in reading online, I found out this is fairly common failure with this unit. I have a cheaper remote start in a different vehicle that works better than this thing does. Compustars website isn't much help either and doesn't give you detailed enough information to find things like this in advance. Programming is also a bit difficult as well. Finding a place to mount this unit was also difficult due to the fact there aren't any screw holes. Just a slot on each side big enough to get a zip tie through. I personally prefer screws to secure something in a vehicle.

Highly recommend this product. Works great with idatalink ALCA for my Honda Accord, did not have to wire lock/unlock/dirarm, trunk, positive starter input, or idatalink power connections. The RS232 cable saved me time and made for a neater install. Only feature I had to wire is a tach line, which I connected directly to the vehicle. Compustar and DEI technical says despite voltage/virtual tach feature, a tach line should be run whenever possible. Other methods are simply a lazy shortcut and can lead to over/under cranking. Very neat install, works great and RS232 on an entry level system - nice!
