Good Value

The PT649D is a good Duel Cassette Deck for the money. Cassette Decks are hard to find and this on does all I expected except for not having a auto reverse on tape recording.

a purchase in desparation.

A while back a friend/ musician wanted me to transfer his cassette recordings to CD. When I attempted this, my cassette deck crashed. So I had to get a new one. Choices were few, as the era of cassettes seems to be ended. i chose the Pyle cassette deck because it was priced sensibly. I did not need cassette to cassette duplication ability, but the second port might come in handy if one has a broken belt or worn out heads. My main gripe is the lack of a counter. I have to listen to the cassettes to get them at a starting point to transfer them to the CD burner. There are millions of cassettes stock piled in peoples drawers. Thankfully Sonic will continue making units so that our heritage of pre digital recording can be heard in the next century.

Good dual tape units

I used to have a dual tape deck but it gave up the ghost after 10 years or so. I spent many a day looking for another one and finally found the Pyle on the internet. It fit my requirements exactly. I now have a complete setup of tape deck, vcr/dvd, tuner and Dirtctv recorder agan. I couldn't be happier.
