The SWS-6.5 by Earthquake Sound features a mounting depth of 1-3/4". With a depth this small the applications for this woofer are endless. This shallow-woofer-system series subwoofer is perfect for those with limited space but that still want some bass in their car. The woofer features a light weight resistant PVC cone and a long-lasting UV treated high-roll composite foam surround for added rigidity, stiffness, longevity and increase power output and performance. The woofer is so small that it does not require an enclosure and works perfectly as a free-air woofer. Don't let the size of the woofer fool you into thinking it's not powerful, with an Xmax linear excursion of 15mm this woofer will hit low-frequencies with accuracy and precision for a clean, crisp, and responsive bass reproduction. Although often imitated the SWS's 3 protected U.S patents assure that it's never duplicated. If you have 2" of space to spare then there is no other option than the SWS series subwoofer.
Where Should I Install the SWS Subwoofer?

Easy Fit
After looking for a replacement sub for the center console on my 2006 Jeep Wrangler, I selected this and wow, what an easy installation it was. No modification. The original has a dual voice coil with 2 sets of wires, taped a pair and just used one set and that's it. the sound is far better than stock. Eventhough they come in pairs, no problem...sold the other to another Jeep owner who heard mine.

I purchased this product due to extremely Limited space in my Roadster. at 1 3/4" mounting this provided me with enough room to extend my seats far enough. If you are expecting the punch that a 10" or even an 8" would deliver than this is not the product for you. If you need just a little bottom end response these will help. I wouldn't class them as subwoofers, more bass and even Mid Bass drivers. Again if you really want the sub bass response and have limited space go with shallow 8" Pioneer or the 8" SWS.

I bought these subwoofers because I wanted them in the sail panels in my 95 Pontiac Firebird. They are nice sounding!! You would expect distortion with higher volumes but you wont because these subwoofers sound just great! They fit with no problem and they sound real good. They work well with stock amplifier but with an aftermarket amp you won't be displeased. I finally have bass in my car these speakers actually hit lows....I didn't believe it at first until I found a song that has more lows and wow...they are actually real good. I recommend these speakers for anyone who wants bass in their car without having all the shaking all over.

I use this subwoofer in a small box. It's very thin and suitable for a small space. And the bass impact is very impressive.
