Learn more about the rc30BOSS is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the LoopStation with a brand new line of RC-series loopers! First up is the fantastic RC-30, a Twin Pedal multi-track looper with two synchronized stereo tracks and built-in loop effects. Go ahead and plug in your instrument or microphone of choice (an XLR input is provided complete with phantom power) and record up to three hours of music directly to the RC-30's internal memory. Feel free to add effects as you go, too. The USB 2.0 port enables you to save your loops externally, as well as import/export WAV files to your computer.
Multi-Layered Loops
Record and stack intricate multi-layered loops with twin stereo tracks. Each track can be independently controlled with individual track-select buttons and volume faders. Recording loops is quick and easy with the Auto-Recording feature, which automatically starts recording when you start playing your guitar, bass, keyboard, or start singing, or even as soon as you start playing a connected audio player. The RC-30's convenient Count-In mode will give you one bar of rhythmic lead-in before recording starts. You can also Undo/Redo as you go.
World-Renowned DSP Effects
Old-school fans of BOSS's critically-acclaimed DSP (Digital Signal Processing) effects will certainly be pleased to discover the powerful lineup of effects onboard the RC-30. Bend Down offers a dramatic and unique pitch-bend effect. Step Phaser changes phase in incremental steps. Sweep Filter alters frequency in sync with the current tempo. Tempo Delay produces a tempo-synced delay effect. Lo-Fi purposely degrades the sound for those who like to crush their music. The RC-30 gives you all this and more without the cost and hassle of carting around external gear.
Not Just For Guitarists
Vocalists can plug a microphone of their choice into the RC-30's XLR microphone input, which has phantom power should you wish to use a condenser microphone. With the RC-30, you can sing, overdub and make multi-layered loops of your voice, create vocal sound-effects patterns, or point the microphone at your acoustic musical instruments. Really, you could record anything that makes noise and turn it into an awesome and unique loop. You don't necessarily have to be a musician to have some fun with the RC-30 LoopStation!
The RC-30's Onboard Rhythm Guide
Play along with one of the 10 basic rhythm patterns in the RC-30's onboard library as you record to keep your loops tight and in time. The RC-30's rhythm patterns include Rock, Pop, Funk, Shuffle, R&B, Latin & more. A dedicated knob lets you adjust the volume of the rhythm, and you can set the tempo manually via tap tempo. You can also specify the time signature. When you save a phrase, the rhythm type and time signature will be saved along with it.
USB 2.0 Connectivity
You can connect the RC-30 to your computer via a standard USB 2.0 cable, and back up your recorded phrases to your computer. You can also load in WAV files from your computer to the RC-30's internal memory. The RC-30 accepts 16-bit/44.1kHz WAV files of up to 1.7GB in size.
AUX Input
In addition to recording your instrumental performances and making them into playable loops, you can also record external stereo audio sources via the AUX IN. Any sound from a digital-audio player or other device connected to the AUX input can easily be recorded and added to your loop.
