Great Amp!
Been a Cerwin fan for a while, bought this amp based of other experiences with their products. There was no reviews out when I took a chance with this amp. Have it hooked up to 2 sets of Cerwin-Vega VEGA65X's, and the sub channel is running 1 Cerwin-Vega VEGA3104 wired at 2ohms. System sounds amazing! This amp is very small so I was quite impressed by the power it puts out. Nice to have it all done with one amp. I would highly recommend this amp, it is clean awesome power and it can be stashed anywhere.

I have this hooked up to 4 gauge power supply and running 4 Polk DB6501 which can handle 100W RMS @ 4 ohms. The doors really scream with the power supplied by the amp without a hint of clipping or distortion with gains set at ~20% of max.
I am pushing 300 watts through a shallow mount 12 inch sub, wired at 2 ohms and can handle 300W RMS @ 2 ohms in a custom MDF box built to manufacturer's recommended size. With the gain set about 30% of max and minimal bass boost, the cabin of the car will massage you! Again, no hint of clipping or distortion through MAX volume on the head unit.
For a $230 amp, 4x100W for components is enough to get you where you need and 300W through a shallow mount sub really supports the sound stage with hints of glory. Happy for 6 months and counting.

I came from two amps, 4-way + bridged 2-channel for a big, boxy sub (both Boston Acoustic), and while that setup sounded really good, it made my 01 Civic's trunk barely usable.
When I got a newer Civic, I decided it was time to make a change. I bought a Pioneer shallow sub and this little 5-channel amp, and it is terrific! The sound is very clean, no distortion (gains set with multi-meter), and my Pioneer components sound fantastic. The best thing for me is in spite of the 800.5's small footprint, it barely gets warm after playing fairly loud. It's well built, so I expect it to last a good long time (fingers crossed).
A great buy from Sonic Electronix!
