How do I tell which wire is positive and which is negative since both are gray?

Look closely at the EnvyFlex jacket. One side features small printed text or symbols, while the other is plain. Use the marked side as your positive (+) and the plain side as your negative (-) consistently for all speakers.

My speakers sound "hollow" or have very little bass after wiring. What's wrong?

This is likely "out of phase" wiring. Ensure the marked side of the NVX wire is connected to the positive (+) terminal on both the amp and the speaker. If one speaker is reversed, they will cancel out each other’s bass.

The wire is too thick for my factory spring-clip terminals. How do I fit it?

Do not cut strands to make it fit, as this reduces signal quality. The best solution is to use flexible pin connectors or banana plugs (if supported). These adapt the 16-gauge wire to fit securely into smaller terminal openings.

Can I run this wire through my car's door boots without it tearing?

Yes. The EnvyFlex jacket is designed for high flexibility. To make it easier, apply a small amount of silicone lubricant or dish soap to the jacket before pulling. This helps it slide through tight rubber boots without binding.

I’m experiencing static or "alternator whine." Is the wire picking up noise?

While this wire uses twisted-pair technology to reject noise, ensure you aren't running it parallel to your main power cables. If they must cross, do so at a 90-degree angle to minimize electromagnetic interference (EMI).

It's wire

I like the fact that it is silver coated copper wire. But it is not twisted pair. Twisted pair is when the positive & negative conductors are twisted around each other. This is just zip wire, but it does the job.

Fits perfectly with NVX X-Series xp65 midbass woofer

Purchased these to run speaker wire to my amp for new speakers. first off I was a little susceptible about amount of wire was inside the installation around the ofc bc it looked really thin. but after I stripped off the tips there was actually a lot more then it looked from end piece when it was shipped.

Was also Confused why they put on two layers of installation

Pulls apart easily; very bendable, I am happy it did the job well.
