Sony CFD-RS60CP Portable Boombox
I had been searching for a quality boombox for quite some time. I have been teaching music for 45 years and have different medias which I need resources for, including cassette tape. This one has everything I was looking for: cassette, CD, USB & an inline for my MP3 player. It also has a radio for the times when my husband is trying to find a ball game that is not on tv. It does not have Bluetooth capability, but that was not a determining factor for me.
The sound is great. Actual play time when pressing "play" on CD's is about 5 seconds. I've had players take about 10-12 seconds, which is important when you are teaching children. I wish that manufacturers would include the reaction time/actual play time in their specifications. You don't know until you get it & play it.
Negatives are that when using the "Mega Bass" it is very fuzzy. I won't be using that setting because of that. Also, the black button settings (play, rewind, etc.) are hardly visible for the cassette player. The silver ones are readable for the CD player. I'll make labels for the cassette buttons to remedy that problem. Thanks for carrying a great product with lots of features!
