IMHO good, yes, and no... it all depends on you.
If you have expectation for not wanting to pay a lot (I replaced a factory Honda radio on a 1994 Civic DX with 70Kmiles) because;
1) vehicle is not a primary means of transportation
2) 2nd vehicle, not worth much
3) looking for a bit of everything in a head unit and not necessarily looking to spend big bucks.
Then this just might be the ticket for you.
Pros: easy to install, great price vs features, awesome and clear HF bluetooth quality, streams audio, comes with all you need to install. Even comes with a remote control. Excellent cable length for the hands free microphone. AWESOME Sonic Electronics FREE Radio Adapter harness (REALLY makes short work of the installation when you can work on a bench, to solder and complete your connections then humped over the DIN chassis in the vehicle with a hot iron). That alone is worth every penny to invest in (radio harness adapter, that is vehicle specific)
Cons: only one set of pre-amp outputs (so forget about a 4channel amp), not a great built in amp, though built well (given the price) it`s a little flimsy, not the greatest user interface to use. Does not have an output to connect to your vehicles dimmer so as to control the radio brightness (it is WAY to bright, and the radio unit has no way of lowering the brightness) through the vehicles dimmer control (too bad, major flaw). The amp output is WAY over exaggerated (like all other manufacturers output claims).
I am being a bit of a nit picker, and not taking price into consideration. So if cost is not an issue for you, then upgrade or purchase a better unit because you will be disappointed based on some of the short comings (outlined above) that you will not be able to over ride (no of pre-amp outputs, no dimmer control, light and flimsy feel).
But if you value the amount of features and you are on a budget, then I don't think you can find a better head unit for the price. If you need bluetooth and hands free (because it is the law and much safer) then you will love the sound quality of the hands free (especially the person on the other end).
A Big thank you to Sonic Electronics for including a free vehicle specific wiring harness. I would of forgot to order it, even though they are relatively inexpensive, and boy oh boy does it make the job a whole lot easier. And, you can't get better than free in the price.
