The KS-AX201 is a 2-Ohm stable Mono amplifier with 500 Watts Max power output and is perfect for connecting a single or pair subwoofers. It features high and low level inputs for connection to a factory or aftermarket stereo plus a low pass filter for use with a connected subwoofer. The CEA-2006 Compliant 250w RMS @2ohms is perfect for a humble system that does not require loud booming bass. Instead, the KS-AX201 is for the system that simply needs to fill the lack of low end.
The JVC KS-AX201 is set up to integrate into various applications. The Low Level RCA inputs allow for the amplifier to be installed in any traditional setup where the headunit provides RCA Preouts. In situations where there aren't any RCAs, like when integrating into an OEM Headunit, the amplifier has you covered, with its included High Level Inputs and Harness.
At roughly 9.0" x 7.3" , the KS-AX201 can easily be hidden away in most vehicles where space comes at a premium. The amplifier fits under most seats, in trunk side cavities, under rear decks, and even in some kick-panels. The imagination is the only limitation to where an installer can hide the amplifier for a discreet install.
The KS-AX201 is intended to be as user friendly as possible. As such, the amplifier provides very easy to use settings, omitting the confusing knobs and switches of fancier amplifiers and leaving only the necessary. The LPF allows for the user to Filter out all harmful midrange and highs and the Input Sens. makes sure the amplifier matches the sensitivity of the headunit.

Boutght this amp for $70 to replace a flaky kenwood for a subwoofer.using a kicker 6.75 inch truck box with passive radiator and it thumps. I didn’t know there were 8 inch Passover too or I would have got one of them instead . Anyway back to the amp, well worth the money spent. It rocks and I get nothing but compliments. Great for the price.

have this amp on a kicker comprt674. i have adjusted it to no end and i still cant get a decent thump out of it. keep in mind this amp is replacing a 25 year old 165 watt kenwood amp which pounded that sub.

I'm your typical girl that knows nothing about car audio, so I put my faith in my installer and the stuff I was reading on the website. This product intrigued me because it claimed that it would install in my car with factory stereo. It does exactly that and powers my little subwoofer well enough that my installer and I both agree that I won't need any further upgrades to get the sound I was looking for. Thanks Sonic! (..and Jim from Car Audio Installs =P)

Not only is this amp small in size, it is plenty powerful enough to do what I want it to do. I have a single 12 inch sub in the back of my Grand Cherokee, and this cute little guy makes it thump! I may purchase another to put in my wife's car.

Admittedly, i only picked this amplifier because it was cheap, had the power i needed and it looks like something that came from the Factory. I plan to resell my car so i didn't want something that had a skull with flashing eyes (dafuq?) . Anyway..I was presently surprised by the small footprint and the overall performance of this thing. At first glance it doesn't look like much, but the output is modestly solid. I think the power output might be a little udnerated to, as it pushes my 8" JL Audio harder than the previous amplifier i had.

Works great! Have it hooked up to my girlfriends dual 12" Walmart sub because the 2 channel 500 watt boss amp was always cutting out. Doesn't cut out on the sub anymore even though I was worried about the low power handle! Working great so far, only have had it installed for a few weeks though. All 5 stars just because I haven't had a problem with it YET.

I was trying to stay under 50bucks , but this amplifier had the specs I was looking for. What really sold me was the fuse rating of 30A x 1 . I figured this thing could probably do somewhere around 300-350watts with a good power supply. With my rinky dink bench test, I was able to get ~312 watts RMS @ 2ohms, using NVX OFC 8 gauge power wire. Awesome little amplifier. I kinda wish Sonic would dyno test all their amplifiers. *hint*
