Premium Sound Interface for 2003-Up Select Lexus/Toyota Vehicles
Toyota and Lexus Stereo Replacement for Vehicles with Digital JBL or JBL Synthesis Factory Amplified Systems
Learn more about the ta07sraThe TA07SR radio replacement interface was designed to make installation of any brand name aftermarket head-unit simple. The TA07SR allows the customer to replace the factory head unit with an aftermarket head unit and utilize their factory amplifier without having to "re-wire" the entire system.
The TA07SR works with data driven JBL systems and JBL synthesis systems in select Toyota vehicles. Through thorough research, Scosche's radio replacement interface offers the "smartest" amplifier retention interface on the market with precision audio matching to factory amplifiers that actually recognizes what system it is being used with and adjusts itself accordingly to avoid distortion of factory speakers. The TA07SR also offers balance control and fading for complete manual sound management. The unit has 4-channel RCA leads so the installer can use the RCA output of the stereo and gain the highest quality sound rather than go through the speaker level output. The 3 wire hard-wired RCA's are color coordinated for left right-front and rear speaker colors and easy installation.
If a customer wishes to retain the factory radio, Scosche also manufactures the Toyota auxiliary input iPod interface, AXIPTA for Toyota vehicles that retains all factory setting. The AXIPTA creates an auxiliary input on a factory stereo for an iPod player and integrates full iPod controls at the factory radio for vehicles with navigation head-units.

This device wires into the aftermarket head unit harness and hooks into the factory plug easily--a five minute job with wire nuts, no cutting required. I purchased a $20 adapter plug but got no sound because the factory amp would not come on. This unit makes the factory amp come on, and the system sounds great with the new head unit. You need this and nothing else electrically to integrate the new unit. However, you need a separate adapter to make the steering wheel control buttons work. It's only been a few days so I can't comment on durability. As for features, it does the one thing that it's supposed to do, that's about all one can ask.

Well.. I bought this harness with the full intentions of using the factory amp. Once I hooked everything up the volume wasn't as loud as I was hoping so I really didn't even need the harness. I ended up rewiring the entire truck. As a harness, it does it's job. But as an integration module to use your stock amp, it's completely worthless.

I had the PAC-TATO adapter with my previous headunit which was excellent, but I had a few problems with gain and "pops" from my rear speakers at high volume. There were also some very minor volume fluctuations. The TA07SR has performed better mainly because I've had no problems with it other than the occasional volume fluctuation which seems to be slightly more noticeable than the PAC adapter. I guess none of the adapters on the market are perfect.
