Complete Details: Standard Warranty for Electronics

ELECTRONIC PRODUCTS LIMITED WARRANTY

Sonic Electronix warrants electronic products to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use for a period of 1-year from the date of original purchase with receipt. Should service be necessary under this warranty for any reason due to manufacturing defect or malfunction during the warranty period, Sonic Electronix will repair or replace (at its discretion) the defective merchandise with equivalent merchandise at no charge apart from shipping costs to and from our company. Warranty replacements may have cosmetic scratches and blemishes. Discontinued products may be replaced with more current equivalent replacement products or store credit will be given if no replacement model is available. The amount of store credit will be equivalent to the current selling price not to exceed the original purchase price. p>

This warranty is valid only for the ORIGINAL PURCHASER and is not extended to owners of the product subsequent to the original purchaser. Any applicable implied warranties are limited in duration to a period of the expressed warranty as provided herein beginning with the date of the original purchase from Sonic Electronix, and no warranties, whether expressed or implied, shall apply to this product thereafter. Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties; therefore these exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights; however you may have other rights that vary from state to state.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU NEED WARRANTY OR SERVICE

Prior to returning defective merchandise to Sonic Electronix for warranty, the customer must first request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. You may request an RMA number via Internet at http://rma.sonicelectronix.com/. Upon logging into your account online, simply choose “Return Merchandise” and you will be required to complete a small form. You may also request an RMA by phone at 1-877-289-7664, ext. 106 through our warranty and returns department.

The RMA number must be clearly marked on the outside of the return package. If no RMA number is included on the outside of the returned package, our receiving department will refuse the package. For electronics returns, we recommend the complete electronic product is returned along with harnesses, adaptors, and any accessories related to the operation of the product being returned. The return of functioning items and accessories may increase your return freight charges; however, it also increases your chance that your product’s defect will correctly be analyzed and all problems will be resolved. Non-defective items received will be returned freight collect or must be paid by the customer prior to return shipment. Additionally, non-defective merchandise returned for warranty is subject to a $25 testing fee if no defect is found.

Packages returned to Sonic Electronix must be prepaid; items sent freight collect, or COD, will be refused.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED?

This warranty is valid only if the product is used for the purpose for which it was designed.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Damage due to improper installation.
  • Subsequent damage to other components.
  • Damage caused by exposure to moisture, excessive heat, chemical cleaners, and/or UV radiation.
  • Damage through negligence, misuse, accident or abuse. Repeated returns for the same damage may be considered abuse.
  • Burnt voice coils (blackened, no continuity, melted adhesives, coil separated from the former).
  • Punctured or damaged surrounds.
  • Broken speaker terminals.
  • Bent, chipped or broken frames.
  • Ripped spiders or damaged back plates.
  • Any cost or expense related to the removal or reinstallation of product.
  • Speakers damaged due to amplifier clipping or distortion.
  • Electronics damaged due to amplifier clipping or distortion.
  • Items previously repaired or modified by any unauthorized repair facility.
  • Return shipping on defective or non-defective items.
  • Products with tampered or missing Sonic Electronix labels or specific manufacturer serial numbers, tags or labels.
  • Products returned without a Return Authorization (RMA) number.
  • Freight Damage (goods damaged due to shipping must be reported within 7 days of delivery)
  • The cost of shipping product to Sonic Electronix.
  • The cost of shipping product from Sonic Electronix upon completion of repair or replacement.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR ELECTRONICS SERVICE TO BE COMPLETED?

Electronic Replacement: An item returned for a replacement may be repaired or replaced at Sonic Electronix's discretion, unless otherwise required by law. If your return qualifies for a replacement, Sonic Electronix strives to maintain a goal of 72-hour service for all electronics returns (source units, CD players, amplifiers, sound processors, electronic accessories, etc). Delays may be incurred if lack of replacement inventory or parts is encountered. We will make every attempt to notify you if such a backorder occurs. Repairs are completed by a third party service center and take approximately 6-8 weeks to be completed. You must also allow additional time for shipping to and from the service center, as well as time returning the item to you (the customer) from our company.

If the defective item is discontinued, then it may be replaced with a current, equivalent replacement or store credit will be given in the amount of the most recent website selling price not to exceed the original purchase price. All returns require an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.

Once the repair has been shipped back to the customer, the remaining warranty or a new 30 days warranty will take effect, whichever is greater.

All warranty related shipping charges to and from our facility are the responsibility of the customer.

International customers are responsible for all taxes, duties, and shipping charges to and from our facility.

Any item returned for warranty and found to be free from defect will be subject to a $25 testing fee.

Limited Non-Refundable 30-Day Return Policy

Sonic Electronix warrants merchandise covered under the Limited Non-Refundable 30-Day Return Policy to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use for a period of 30 days from the original invoice shipping date. Merchandise may be returned for a replacement within 30 days of the original invoice shipping date. If the same item is not available, SonicElectronix.com reserves the right to replace the item with a similar or like model, or issue store credit at the current selling price not to exceed the original purchase price. All returns require an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number. A restocking fee will apply against the issued credit to items returned incomplete.

They are being sold as-is and are not eligible for return for refund, replacement or repair. The entire risk as to the quality and performance of these items is with the buyer. These items may have physical defects including, but not limited to: scratches, dings or dents. Should these items prove defective following their purchase, the buyer (not the manufacturer, distributor, or SonicElectronix.com) assumes the entire cost of all necessary servicing or repairs, unless otherwise required by law. Accessories are also NOT GUARANTEED to be included with these items, even if the missing accessory is required for the item to function properly.
