Heard better

I thought the Brand would be awesome Alpine was always great about having great head units; plus having HD radio so i went for it being my 6+ year old JVC Arsenal went out on me..

First thought the lower end bass was a little better than the JVC but the upper range sounds horrible; Unit is pushing a JBL 4-ch amp and RF speakers.. only the head unit changed. Does not matter how much i tweak the radio.. its lacking and sounds like mid is turned up with no good definition on the upper ranges. The JVC was actually better. :(

Secondly the way they designed this unit and how it operates is horrible for the custom EQ vs the 3Band Eq and all the slopes.. the manuals have nothing to say or explain about it.. not even the CD Version..
Lastly Instead of made in Japan like i remember Alpine being; its made in china like most everything.. There goes your quality right out the window..
