Great!!!

This stereo is great the volume is just tremendous....infact when it is in the loud mode I don't turn it up above 15 because, I'm afraid of killing the speakers. The only draw back is that the stereo isn't that fast when reading a disc. But, other than that this stereo is super!!! I would definitely recommend it. :]

Initially pretty impressive, only goes down hill from there

So, I purchased this stereo around christmass last year as a gift for my girlfriends 'new' car. First impressions were "sweet" from everyone. Unfortunately those didn't last more than a few minutes, the first thing noticed is that the FM radio has never worked properly, it slowly starts degrading in sound quality after about the first 30 seconds after turning it on until it's nothing but static after about 2 minutes. Second issue is that the cd/dvd player has always taken forever to load disks, then, after about 6 months, this part of the stereo completely died as well, the screen simply turns off as soon as it should finish loading the disk. This left only one part of the stereo functional, the Aux input. Now, perhaps i've just been unlucky and received a lemon, but this third issue encompasses all boss stereo's; the amp is completely incompatible with anything below 4ohm speakers, this meant i also unexpectedly had to replace 3.5ohm ford speakers with some 4ohm one's or the amp would cut out at any reasonable volume (anything above about 1/4 way up) so anyone with high end 2ohm speakers such as some infinity or kenwood speakers be warned. This was my first stray away from the better brand decks, pioneer, alpine, eclipse, etc, I'll never make that mistake again.

i just recently got this unit and its great. it sounds wonderful and looks even better. i have not figured out how to play movies yet though, i can only get it to play the sound not the picture. but it is definitely worth the money.

A++ product

The only drawback about this product is the slow speed disc loading. Other than that the responsiveness and the efficiency of the features offered are top notch. Movies plays crystal clear and sounded great. Would definitely recommend it!!!
