Satisfied
I bought this sub because of the price. I blew my last sub and wanted a quick replacement for my budget build I'm doing. I've got just one of these and I've got 650 watts RMS running to it and I was actually quite surprised on the sound. You won't be shaking your door panels or trunk off but for what you pay, its worth it. Note that I've got this running in a 94 Corolla.
If you're looking to be heard from a block away or to show off, you'll probably want to buy something else, but if you're looking for something cheap that will produce some decent bass that you can 'hear' and feel a little bit, then I recommend this.
PS I reviewed this the day I got them and installed them. I cant say anything on durability yet but I'm hoping they last.

Good Sub
I would definately decommend this sub for any application. I am running it on a tiny amp my friend is letting me borrow for the moment (120 watts) and i was thinking it would be maybe as loud as the little 8 incher i had previously had in my car. I was mistaken. It is louder than some of my friends cars, and is running on almost a twelfth of the power it can handle. I am very happy with this sub. I had to replace my rearview mirror because it was shaking too much.

Excellent value
I highly recommend the Boss CX122 sub. I got a great deal, and was very surprised at the level of performance for the price. It sounds better than a sub that I purchased a few years ago for 3 times the price.

ok
Product was installed into a bandpass enclosure. I don't recommend doing that. Specs said its ok but didnt perform to my expectations. Would like to have tried it in a different enclosure. It may have preformed better.

Great Value!
I bought this sub for a temporary because of the price. I had two Rockford Fosgates 2000watt units, one blew. I put this Boss sub in and its hitting harder than the one fosgate that's left.

Not bad
Not the greatest sub in the world but also not the worst. I got one of these in a ported box being powered by a good Alpine amp. It hits pretty hard but you wont be shaking peoples houses riding down the street. Honestly for the price I can't really complain its a good sub if your just looking to add a little bump in your ride without spending a fortune.

good buy!
This is not the loudest sub I have ever heard but it produces a good amout of bass! For the price I would definitely recommend this! I have 2 of these hooked up to a 1500 watt mono block SSL amp and it hurts some of my friends ears and others say it is loud. My girlfriend heard me comin from over a block away while she was inside her house! Great sub for price!

Bang for your buck
For the price you pay, this sub is good. I have a Hifonics amp wired at 4 ohms that puts out 650 RMS and this sub can handle it.

Love this Sub
Bought this sub 2 years ago along with a 1000 watt Rms monoblock amp in a custom made ported box in my 97 eagle talon and you can hear me down the street coming. All my friends are surprised and calls it the "magic" sub bc they think its 2 15s =D

good sub while it lasted :)
This is a loud subwoofer but dont last long. I had 4 12's hooked up to a rockford fosgate t1500bdcp which is really 1937 rms on the birth sheet, at only half gain in a custom fiberglass box in the back of my navigator and they were hittin hard. Too bad they only lasted 4 days. Thats what i was expecting anyways i knew they were gonna blow but just wanted to see how long they would last and yea it was not much haha way overrated sub.

It pounds! building a custom box for two of these subs and a amp from here too very great buy. thanks Sonix!

Good for the money
This sub is good for the price, but surely doesn't compete with the more expensive subs. This sub isn't as good as my previous Orion XtrPro 1000W 4Ohm sub, but it does have excellent sound for the money. If you're on a budget, this is a good deal. It looks nice at a glance, but the feeling of it is cheap.

bangin for 160 bucks
I ordered one of these and a cheap set of sealed boxes off eBay. After installing this sub, I instantly wanted to put another in the spare box I had. 2 subs for 70 bucks, 2 boxes for 35 bucks, and an autotek 1400 for 55 bucks. Let me tell you, I shook the whole truck. No flex, but shake, and they boomed. Took all the power from the ata 1400, wired to 2 ohms. Don't get me wrong these aren't by any means competition subs, but if you just wanna bang for cheap, buy 4 and you won't be disappointed. I had them in .88 cubic foot boxes, sealed, that's way under recommended airspace, go ported and optimum with the box dimensions and you will be golden for a beginner's setup. Be careful, they will blow, I blew one with my Rockville rxd m4, of course that overpowers them, and they actually took it for days, but then blew. Just follow the specs!! For 35 dollars I'm beyond impressed

Best bang for your buck by far!!
I was skeptical at first about purchasing this sub, due to its brand and pricing. Boy was I wrong and I'm glad I was. It's not a performance sub by any stretch of the imagination. This thing can hit and it's perfect actually. Especially if you're just wanting some extra bass in your car. I have a 1,200 watt amp hooked up to this speaker on a mono bridged set up. That way I'm getting atleast a full 400/500watts going to this one speaker. I've experienced no clipping whatsoever. After about a 2 wk breaking in period (which is crucial, if you want it to last), I turned the amp up just a little to around 600watts RMS. Now this little speaker packs one hell of a punch! Im only using one of these and it sounds so good. I have it sitting in my backseat, instead of the trunk. I was surprised in the quality of bass too. It's definitely not a kicker, Skar, or any other high end speaker. But it sounds on par to one easily. In fact the regular person wouldn't even be able to distinguish between them. If I had two of these it would easily beat the hell out of my car. Personally it's just right, you absolutely can't beat the price for what it's worth. Im highly impressed with Boss and this subwoofer period. I definitely recommend getting this, you can't go wrong for the money. Essentially you have nothing to loose, think I paid less than $50 for this sub plus the box! Unless you're an audiophile snob and have to have name brand. Then definitely get these, I've heard subs that cost double the price as this sub. That sounded worse than these do and that's the truth. I'd give these easily an 8 out of 10! They honestly remind me of these Kickers I had back in the day. Boss has really stepped their game up, so if you're on a budget. Or just want a decent system that will bump for a fraction of the price you'll pay everywhere else. Then consider getting these exact subs Boss CX-122. Oh and it has a decent 3 yr extended warranty as well. So if they crap out on you, the you'll get another for free! You can't beat that, and they would only break if you don't know wth you're doing. Basically just because it says they are 1400watts. Doesn't mean it can handle 1400watts, you divide this by 2 so 700watts is the RMS. Do not surpass that amount. The perfect setup is sending it 500-600watts consistently. That way if it peaks it won't exceed anything over 700-800 watts. Otherwise you'll risk clipping it and destroying a perfectly decent sub. Remember these aren't for competition, just for casual bass in your car. They sound great for the price and for that you can't beat them. You won't be able to find another sub this good for the price, that's for damn sure!

I combined two of these with a crunch 2000watt amp and my wife couldn’t be happier. It definitely does the trick in her Silverado. Would highly recommend!!
