Cobra CPI 1575

When I first got this little thing I thought it was a great buy. Unfortunately it only lasted 3 camping trips or about 30 hours of use before malfunctioning. I was out camping and it was at night, I had some lights hooked up to the inverter and the low battery signal beep came on. When I went over to the inverter and tried to switch the inverter off, the LCD display would go blank, but the inverter itself would not switch off. I had to physically disconnect it from the battery in order to stop the beeping low battery signal and physically get the inverter to power down. I charged the battery that night and tried hooking the inverter up again in the morning with a fresh battery but still had the same problem. After that weekend, I felt this was very unfortunate that I hadn't bought the extended warranty; because I didn't use the inverter until after the short warranty period had already expired. I would not recommend this inverter nor any other products similar to this one. I would recommend if you are in the market for an inverter a PURE SINE inverter for around an additional $200 with the capabilities to run laptops, motors, ie: blenders, mixers fans, etc., and other electronics you would not be able to run on this particular inverter, would be well worth the money. And get an extended warranty!!!

Electricity on the go

Cool unit, I put CPI 1575 in my 09 Freightliner Cascadia to power up a 700 watt (1050 watt max) Microwave oven. I must say it is pretty Coo to have mobile electricity, now I save $$$ on food. my lil woman makes me my lunch & when its time to take my 30 min break, I can pull over safely almost anywhere & grub out with a warm meal. Very handy to have.

Electricity when you need it.

I put this in my 09 Freightliner Cascadia to power a 750 watt/1050 watt max Microwave Oven, & i have been saving money on eating out. Every morning i warm my Cheese Danishes & Water for my Cinnamon tea. Since i installed this Inverter, fast Breakfast is only 10 minuets to prep & i dont have to look for parking for a 53 foot container any more. i can pull over @ or around an exit & hook it up. Same with lunch & Dinners. It is a real help if your on the Road. A MUST HAVE FOR A TRUCKER.

quality @ a great price

I have this current model and the discontinued model. one in the semi truck and the new one in my cabin cruiser. cobra has a long history of solid performance and excellent service. I look forward to more years of service from each unit. thanks cobra for standing behind your product.....

Cobra power converter

A great product at a fair price. I had run into problems trying to power my equipment with a cheaper unit, but the Cobra works great.

great performance and dummy proof engineering

I had my apprentice technician instal it in our service van very easy installation,easy to follow directions and 6fuses of protection when a person can't tell + from -.after the replacement of the fuses the unit has performed flawless even when used at full capacity.

I bought this with intentions of using it in my RV and has been a great wonderful product have had no issues powers up many different components does an excellent job would highly recommend this product!

Nice "bang" for your buck!

It's not too bulky, fits easily in your vehicle, and actually performs well. I have had 2 circular saws plugged in and running at the same time with no problem! But ....you do need to have the vehicle running that it's plugged into to run 120v constantly
