Very Impressed!

Smart workmanlike Unit, it's very sensitive on all bands, mainly K Band used here/ Europe by Gatso speed camera's. The display isn't 'that' bright, but the variable and auto mute features are superb.
This picks up Laser-LIDAR from very long distances even from the side recently, when Cops were on an entirely different road at right angles to us, we were passing at 60mph but received it on both legs of the journey. I wish I got it last year before a 4 year long speeding ticket. It's on You Tube demonstrating my Laser-Radar jammers.

Not the first time I use the services of the company "SE". Everything is fine! I recommend. The product "cobra" did not fail. Bad that long to deliver the goods to the Russian Federation.

At first I was skeptical about the product but the range on this thing is awesome it reads out all c.h.ps on point and radar starts to detect I would definely recommend this product to all you speeders lol its saved me and continues to save me awesome product thank u sonix and cobra for an awesome price and radar.

Cobra hasn't changed

Purchased the newer version of the Cobra SSR detector after my old one, purchased in 2004, fell apart, though still worked. The plastic broke down from sitting in the sun. The newer one works just like the old one, still picks up everything including grocery entry ways.
I am not sure how many tickets i have avoided but for the cost of the item versus a traffic ticket and insurance increase it is a worthwhile purchase.

Great value and works great!

I would recommend this product. It works great. Speed camera is detected about a bit less than 1 km away. However there are lots of false alerts since it also detects other signals around. I would advise to activate "City mode" while driving in town/city and "Highway mode" eventually for motorway/highway.

Display is not that bright as mentioned and can hardly be read during the day but works great at night.

Overall I'm satisfied. It does the job well and it is of great value.

Radar dectors

I bought the Cobra ssr-80 from Sonicelectronix, through Ebay, and it seems to be a good product at a good price, as of now I'm pleased with the performance, The display is dim and hard to see is my one complaint, J. S., KY.

It's good for 40 bucks..

It's a good radar if you don't live near many things. It's saved me a few times but I'll be driving by a cop and the thing won't be going off. Even when approaching emergency vehicles, it won't go off. It also picks up other radar detectors in range which if your in traffic it gets annoying real fast. So all in all its good for 40 bucks. I know I listed a lot of negative things but if you want just an ordinary radar detector this definitely is a great investment but if you drive a lot of highways & backrods combined, this radar is not for you.
