Nice!

For the price it's simply the best head unit with retractable screen you can get.
The quality is not bad at all.
Highly recommended!!!

great for the price!!!

I got this in the mail the other day and installed it myself, it's real easy i instaled it after already havein a pioneer stario. this gets just as loud and is just as clear so it competes with top brands and its cheap. it has many features just has the basic audio settings so i wish i could customize each speaker but its good enough!. i hooked a TKO 10.4" screen up to it, and i have a kicker L7 hooked up and trust me it bumps man! but i ran it to much without the car on so now my truck is hooked up to a car charger. my bad, lol, but this is an awesome radio i would tell anyone to buy one!!!!

Awesome!!!

I love this head unit, it had great features, and the touchscreen is nice for the price. I have friends with the jensen flip out screens and they were amazed on how nice this was. Well worth the money, and very easy to install. definitely recommend

great for the money

Great unit for those with a more conservative budget also with the nav unit that you may buy seperately it makes this unit an all-around ringer. Big name value without the big name price tag. Functions are all incredibly responsive once you calibrate the the touch screen. Great unit for quick install also. With all the functions and added connections this is a top notch product

Good in-dash DVD for the money.

The Dual XDVD head unit is a good choice if you want the ability to play DVDs as well as use your iPod while driving. A separate iPod interface gives you the ability to connect your iPod directly to the stereo for full onscreen control - it also doubles as a secondary video input for your video camera or video game. The iPod interface is good, the display gives you the same menus you find on the iPod itself. However, the song names get lost in the on-screen clutter, and they don't scroll long song titles. Same goes for MP3 play - song info rotates on the bottom like in Windows Media Player, so the song title is on screen for a couple of seconds at a time. If you're going to want to watch DVDs, you have a whole process to go through with the parking brake in order for the screen to display the movie - a simple shorting of the parking brake wire won't work here. If you look around some of the online fourms you'll find a quick workaround, however. As far as the tuner, you get a whole bunch of available presets - probably more than the number of stations you'll find on the dial. Another plus for this unit is ease of installation. Unlike other DVD units on this site, there is only the one-piece head unit to install - no second "brain" box to install under a seat. In the back of the unit you'll find enough cables to connect an amp, a second screen, and your iPod interface. So in closing - a goood player for the money. I also own the JVC refurbished unit sold in the Liquidation Station section, and I would say it's just as good for the money.

You can't beat this deal!!

I just bought 1 recently and it's not bad at all for the price you pay for. Well worth it for a DVD in-dash and a touchscreen. If your into feature, then this deck is for you! But if your into clarity and sound of deck, then this is NOT for you! Have fun!!

Good

It is doing good so far. The attachment for the Ipod wears out quickly but other than that it is good. Not enough eq settings either

Awsome

This Flip out display works great i love it it has lots of outputs on and the wattage for the speakers is just perfect for stock ones but it needs is another input i have a video ipod that i bought rca cable for to view my videos on it but then i also have a vcr in the back compartment so when ever i want to use one or the other i need to switch them but for me its no big deal since i don't switch it often but for the price it is perfect would buy again.

Start strong ends up wrong...

I purchased the 8182 during june 2007. I like many LOVED it to begin with but then my iPod would not connect after about 8-10 months followed by the dvd/cd player ejecting every disc inserted. I took it apart and found the very tiny piece of plastic that had broken off and was causing to eject all discs. Tried to fix and my attemps have been unsuccessful. Have recently purchased the Clarion vrx785bt and love it also.
