Earthquake indeed

I have a earthquake supernova home theater bass box. I purchased this woofer to replace the one that had been damaged. Thing is load, plays deep and shakes my house.

Perfect

I bought this sub to replace my Rockford Fosgate hx2 punch series 12" sub. One thing that I wanted everyone to know that is thinking about buying this sub is that it is actually a 1500 watt peak power sub and 600 rms. If you don't believe me look at the back of the magnet in the pictures. Overall this sub is great for the money and hits harder than any other sub iv heard.

Better than I had hoped for.

I had a JL W3 V3 (SVC 4ohm) running in a ported box on a JL 600/1 amp and simply swapped this sub in its place. I wired this DVC 4ohm into 2ohms to pull 500-600 watts from the amp, which is powered by a secondary dedicated battery. Now I need Dynamat. It hits so hard that my car now sounds like a tin can with loose rocks in it. The box is smaller than it wants, but I like a tighter bass -- even though I listen to rap and electronic, mainly. Now that I know it hits so hard, I'm gonna build a sealed box for it and tighten it up even more. Make no mistake though, this is way tight in a ported box, just too loud and overpowering.

Poor mans w7 on a budget

I wanted a sub that had enough throw to get loud (while sounding good, hence sealed), and this really surprised me. I used a dbxi before and while it got surprisingly loud, it sounded tubby and sloppy. In goes the magma into a 1.4 ft^3 heavily stuffed box, sub is receiving 700 watts. I was disappointed with the sub when I first installed it, it had no low end AT ALL.

About a week and a half later, every time I got in the car it dropped lower and lower, really needs a break in. Now it drops as low as I was hoping a sub would in my car, and onced crossed over below 70hz, sounds really good doing it. Output is shocking in my hatchback, it wont need anymore than 700 watts. I can't emphasize how surprisingly good (this is coming from an sq guy) this sub sounds. Durability, on the other hand, is still up in the air. If you are looking for a "super sub" on an extremely low budget, this is a great choice, there aren't many sub's that are this pleasing to listen to that also have very high output for less than $200. Give these a shot and be pleasantly surprised.
