good sounds out of small package

This box and sub sound great. I matched this with a JL RD500/1 mono amp and it's a beautiful combination. I wanted but sound but didn't want to lose all my cargo space. Being that this is in a Mini, I only lost about 20% of cargo area, can't really complain. The box did arrive with a key piece missing for installation. I think it was a simple oversight, and one call to JL Audio customer service and they had the part in the way same day.

The carpet doesn't match my interior, but I didn't expect it to. JL's website states that their carpet match is "good". I can say that this box is well built and installs securely with no worry about movement during a day of hard driving around mountain roads. It installs by hooking into one of the rear cargo hold downs and the other side held down but a seatbelt anchor bolt and one you install. The sub is not visible in any pictures you can see online, but it's facially on the opposite side of what you see in pictures. The sub fires into the driver side rear corner. The way the box is made, it does not impede your access to the car seat release not impede the seat going up or down. Since the box is anchored, even with the seat down, it isn't going anywhere.

I would buy this box again, and for any vehicle in the future I have, that may have one available for it. I've always wanted a JL sub and amp, and I couldn't be happier with them. If a stealthbox is made for your car, get one.
