Fine for an older car but iPods do not play
I put this in my daughter's 2001 Chevy Cavalier. There were lots of steps to the install but it was easy enough. The harness was pricey but sure made the install easier and all the warning chimes work. This head unit has nice sound BUT it will not recognize iPods or iPhones; even though the Expandability Options section implies it will. I confirmed with Sonic that it will only recognize MP3s and WMAs. You will only be able to play your iPod or iPhone through the AUX input. Sonic really should edit their description of this unit.

Works perfectly!
I was skeptical at first because the only review at the time was a negative one, but I'm here to say I give it a 5/5! Its a cheap, light-weight system that has no mechanics to it.
I used an SD card and it read the files perfectly, its definitely on the cheap side of things, but its definitely higher quality than I expected!

Jensen DMR 2166 Review
I would highly recommend this product., and sad to see it has been discontinued. I love the simple operation, sd, usb, and 3.5mm jack capability. It fits perfectly in my 1993 toyota tercel. It doesn't have a cd player, which in my mind makes it less attractive for a thief to steal, in addition to the detachable faceplate.
Overall awesome, no frills product that gets the job done, huge upgrade from my factory unit at a very affordable price.
