these kickers made a huge difference in my 2015 Mazda. I changed the front door speakers. as the sound would sound all over the car with stock audio , with these you can hear in just the front. Will be purchasing more for rear doors. Awesome !

Bought these to replace the factory front door speakers in my 13 tundra. The speakers themselves are impressive. On the factory head unit, these are loud and clear with no distortion. Installing them was a challenge, had to modify the door panel a bit and use 2 different types of adapters to create one that would get these to fit without getting in the way of the power windows. So if you have a tundra research adapter plates before purchasing 6x9 speakers.

Nice for the highs

Installed these in my 06 Jeep Commander. The factory amplifier mainly uses the front door 6x9s for the lows. They do ok but not great for that purpose. I would choose the factory speakers for bass. However. I changed the head unit to a pioneer and sniped the tweeter lines to run off the head unit while the factory amp runs the lows. Worked out for me. Sounds great. Also have the similar speakers else wear in the truck.

Metra Mazda and Ford Speaker Harness (72-5602)

Hello,

I purchased two pair of the Metra 72-5602 speaker harnesses for my 2016 F150 lariat SuperCrew instead of cutting the factory wiring.

These speaker adaptor harnesses plugged right into the factory speaker harness on both the front and rear doors without any problems and with the added benefit of being able to put the factory speakers back in when it`s time to sell the vehicle.

If a speaker harness is available for your vehicle and you plan on using the "factory" wiring, i`d recommend purchasing one to make your speaker installation very easy.

The contacts for wiring are fragile. If using a clamp or slide on connector, don’t force it. You want wiring to stay attached but soldered leads will break if you force wiring connector. No other complaints.

Amazing clarity

If you’re looking to replace your oem non-B&O speakers on your F-150 look no further. I got this kit for my 2024 F-150 XLT, and love them. I like how sonix included the wiring kit and brackets for an easy install. Everything fit like a glove. All 4 speakers are powered by a Skar 400w 4 channel amp with the stock radio. I have the amp at 50% gain, and these speakers will blow my eardrums out if I were to max out the volume on the head unit. As far as loudness, and clarity kicker knocked it out of the park with this series. You just can’t go wrong with kicker. They have been in the game for far too long, and have mastered their products. The 3 way 6x9 do sound clearer than the 2 way 6.5, but that’s obvious considering they only have 1 built in tweeter for mids/highs compared to the 6x9 that have 2. I am extremely happy with the purchase. I also replaced the oem tweeters on the pillars with the same kicker cs series that are sold separately. Loudness, and clarity is not an issue with these speakers. I do have all the bass strictly traveling to the 2 subwoofers I installed so I can’t speak for the bass on these full range speakers. I have the the bass all the way down on the head unit to boost the clarity coming from the door speakers, and words just don’t prove how good these speakers are.

These wire harnesses are perfect. Except, the work it takes to get them on the + and - speaker terminals is ridiculous. I don't know if it's the speaker terminals are too big, or the harness fittings are too small, but I think these harnesses need to provide a little more flexibility to get them on the terminals, and then squeeze them down with some pliers.
