Great Amp, Excellent Customer Service

This amp is amazing, and MTX is the best company. My friend (who claimed to know how to install amps and subs) hooked this amp up wrong the first time and fried it.(He plugged the power wire into the ground.) MTX replaced it, no questions asked. Finally got it installed right and it is amazing! Makes my subs hit loud and hard. I will continue to buy MTX products.

Quality Amp....

I bought the amp about a week ago. When I first opened it, the birthsheet said 450w at 4ohms 655w at 2ohms. max power 1310w. I was happy cause sometimes you get amps that are under rated. But it is a great amp hasn't overheated, and has really good features. The only thing I don't like is the bass switch has a cheap look, but whatever the amps great.

Best amp up to now

i had bought several amps before but this amp i bought to push the MTX Square sub my brother in law sold to me. that thing needed 600w and this thing gave it to it like nothing. its a really great amp i know its for the jack hammer series subs but it does the job for a square sub my homeboy has two kicker solobaric with a 1600w rockford fosgate amp and this monster makes the MTX sub pound harder than his system.

best bang for your buck

this thing amazes me. i think they under rated this thing on its peak output. it has more in it then they say it does. i have it hooked up to a 12" solo baric l5 and im scared to turn the settings and knob up in fear that it will blow my sub!

Simply - Well Worth It !!!!!

I bought this amp from Sonic and have had it in my car for 10 days or so and really like it. The only issue I had was the remote bass knob did not work all of the time. Sonic gave me MTX's tech support and they sent me a new cable and volume knob in 4 days. Turns out it was the cable. I am pushing 2 10" Polk Momo 300rms subs and it rocks. I know if I push it this amp it will damage the subs. I love the fact that it has a fan. This unit gets warm to the touch and has not shutdown yet. For the money I do not think that you can beat this amp. When I received it, the birth sheet showed 684rms at 2ohms. Buy you will not be disappointed.

amazing

i bought this because of the great price on Sonic Electronix. It was pushing 2 pioneer flat 10's but it completely has WAY too much power. make sure you have some subs that handle this beast

amazing amp

I bought this amp 6 months ago and I haven't had a single problem with it. This would be a great buy for anyone looking to add some bass to there car. I have it powering my 15 inch re audio sub and it has never overheated

Good price for a great amp.

This amp, like all of the MTX products, is very well built. I have had this amp for about six months and is still working great! I would say this amp is also slightly underrated. I have bought other amps at a higher price from here that have not been so reliable as this one.

Amazing amp

I have this pushin a 12in L5 and its sitting in a crowded trunk, the fans keep it cool no matter what, and its a real clean signal and is super powerful

Worth The Price

I've had many amps but none amount to this one. This is an amazing amp that I would recommend to anyone. Mine is powering two MTX Jackhammers and it does it effortlessly.

Awesome Amp

Got it Friday and plugged it up in 30 minutes. Hands down loads better than the more expensive amp it replaced. Now I can test diff sub loads without worrying about not having enough power.

Beastin amp

This amp is good.Nice look and design and never gets hot. Fits nice under my backseat. I would recomend it. And for the price pretty darn good.

quality and style

This is a good quality amplifier for the price. it is running 2 Boston Acoustics G2 10" 's @4 ohm. constant power no cut out.

You can't go wrong with MTX....

Six months down the road and the MTX JH600 is still keeping the bass loud and clean.

should i get this

I have 2 12" Kickers single voice 4 ohm should i buy this amp or would it just blow the subs up if it were to blow them what kind of amp should I get for cheap right now I have a punch Rockford 200 watt amp let me know thanks

Good Amp...works perfect.

Such a good amp...I am powering a JH4512A with it, and it lets the subwoofer hit hard. I dont regret buying this amp at all. It pushes out 350w RMS @ 4ohms. Which is way more than enough for my sub, and it has good feature dials on the side.

Good amps.

I have this amp and a Jackhammer Jh404 running my system. These amps work and sound great. The best amps I have owned so far. I have them stacked on the back wall of my truck. They seem to be powerful.

Sweet Amp

This Amp is really good. It powers my Kicker 12" L5 1200 watt no problem, doesn't get hot and the birth certificate stated it puts out more watt power than advertise. It mounts really easy and the bass controller is really nice to have too.

Waste of time and money

bought this amp in june, went on in september. shipped back they sent a brand new one and it went out the first of january. when i had it it hit hard but whats the use if it only works for a couple of months.

This is amp is fantastic. I have it hooked up to a 12' type r (the new model) and it hits hard effortlesly. took no time to install, and has been amazing for how long i have had it. Defenitly recomend for the price and power output.

Had this amp hook up to my two Kickers l5 wire at 2 ohms and wow does it bang. Great amp

Very pleased with my choice. I chose this amp for my BMW 540iT driving a Pioneer TS-SW2501S2 subwoofer through an Audio Control DQXS equalizer which puts very high demand on power in order to flatten out the low end response. I have had the setup running for 6 months. Easy to install. Clean power to spare. Solid and honest design.

Great deal!

I purchased this amp on a whim when I read some of the reviews and compared it's properties to other similar monoblock amps. I have it hooked up in a full size truck running 1 single JL W3-2 10. The amps settings are about half across the board, and it is plenty loud! I am very impressed with the amp and it's design. It was simple to mount, and is a cinch to hook up. This amp will be plenty should I choose to add a 2nd sub, but for now, this 10 and the MTX amp blows away my two older JL w3's and a Punch 500. With free shipping, this is a killer deal.

What A Great Amp!!

I bought this amp last week and once it was connected It didn't make all of the meters on my dash move like the last amp did when I gave it power. My headlights don't even dim with this amp unless I turn it up really loud (which I never do because I would blow my ears away). The sound quality of this amp is awesome!! I only have the gain set at half-way and it makes my trunk flex. I'm using matching subs for this amp, I have the 12" Jackhammer Series Enclosure. Also I would like to note something about the heat on this amp. The unit barely gets hot even after playing music for long periods of time! I just love this amp and I feel you will too so I highly recommend the JH600 to anyone looking to get their moneys worth.

Awesome Amp

This amp is powering my pioneer shallow mount 12 in sub with ease, doesn't get hot at all and makes it hit hard.

Best one yet from mtx

I have this amp for 6 mo now i have it wired at 2 ohms to a pioneer TS-W2000SPL and i had metered on a usb meter it does 131.66 DB at 49 hz i never had any issues if think looking for a good class-D amp pick this up only thing i dont like is the mounting holes they are to small i had to manually screw the amp down

Good value and functional

If you're looking for a budget amp for your sub, this might be the one for you. This review is meant for the non-techies and is an overview of what you could do with this amp.

Pros:
Subsonic Filter - Good for adjusting the frequency range of your subs; i.e. Have your bass sound like it's coming from the fronts rather from the rear.

4-gauge wiring - Cleaner power to your amp can lead to cleaner sound.

Bass control knob - I'm 50/50 about this. It has to be plugged in for the extra power, but it doesn't gain much more power throughout the minimum and maximum range.

Cons:
Bass control knob - Power range between minimum and maximum is barely noticable, probably +/- 1 or 2 dB.

Overall:
This amp is very good for the value and it has the flexibility to adjust the subsonic filter to adjust the frequency range to stage your sound a little better. Clean sound output.

Just What I Was Looking For

Did a custom install in my Trans Am, and this really did the job. Nice sleek look with great features. Performance is top notch. I have this pushing 2 JackHammer subs and performs without flaw.

You're not ready

Amplifier is stupid powerful. I had one on 4 15s in a wall in my explorer. Now I bought one for 2 12s in my toyota.
