Tundra/Sony interface

Not quite accurate/complete on the wiring diagram for the 2002 Tundra with an amp, but I figured it out using a multi-meter to test the leads. Once it was done, never a problem.

Just ok

I purchased the Metra 70-8113 mainly for the big screen and bluetooth abilities. After installing it in my pick-up I was a bit disappointed with its abilities as a stereo. The tuner output is a bit weak and the output levels are not equal when it applies to the stereo and USB and Bluetooth. I should have picked another unit.

Don't do without it!

A bit of time is needed to sort out all the wires - make sure you look at what's behind the dash! I soldered the wires to the pre-amp outputs so I know they will never work loose. After that it just plugs right into the connectors in the car! Just make sure it's the right one for your car - call Sonix if you don't know - they are pretty helpful!

Fits 2010 Prius

I installed a Pioneer AVH-P3200-DVD stereo in my 2010 Prius , This metra cable fits perfect , I also installed Four New Pioneer 4-Way Speakers , So i did not use amp plugs. I removed Factory JBL head unit. This product makes install easier. But more wiring harnesses would make job easier. Need cable for backup camera that I found not available. I wired camera wire by wire,Toyota Camera works good on Pioneer head unit. I would purchase Metra products again, tech. support very helpful.

Great Product!!

I love the way these adaptors work. You simply solder the adaptor to the deck harness and then open your dash up and plug everything in. Doing all the soldering on the work bench in the shop is much better then in the vehicle. Great product and you can’t beat Sonic’s price.

Correct pins for '05 Camry XLE (with JBL amp).

Used with Pioneer DEH-X4600BT. Wiring was dead-simple with the Pioneer connector. Even the colors match up. Solder, heat-shrink, install.

No Need to Bypass Factory Amp

This item works great on Toyotas with JBL Factory Amps. I've used this part in two installs. One in a 2004 Camry and a 2001 Land Cruiser. Like the title says, no need to bypass the factory amplifier. Before, you had to locate the amp and use a Bypass connector. The amp could be located in odd places in the car.

Correct pins for '05 Tundra SR5 (JBL system)

This harness is great using this with a JVC KD-R330 head unit and I have no complaints with this product.

works partially

I own a 2005 toyota tundra access cab with 6 disc CD changer and tweets in doors, stock amp under passebger rear seat. Hooking the harness up is stupid easy, its the issue with the amp not turning on with stereo. If Metra cam figure out how to wire in the harness throughout toyotas electronic system them we can have a stereo that works without having to rewire the whole setup to listen to music

be prepared for some whining

This made the install in my 2001 Celica with factory amp a cinch, however, it appears to be a possible culprit in my now whine whenever accelerating.

Before installing look on google for a way to mitigate this by installing some resistors before putting it in your vehicle.

This may be specific to my vehicle, but there was one or two wires that did not have a corresponding connection point. As this is a somewhat universal kit that is to be expected, so just a heads up that it is a possibility.

Does The Job

The wiring harness for the 2002 avalon does its job, but I really had to fight with it to get it to stay plugged into the stock plug, and have the clip on it latch.

Metra 70-8113

This harness worked like it was supposed to. If you are looking at this harness then you are hooking up a vehicle with a factory amp. You will need this unless you bypass the amp.

Quick and Easy

All the wires and cables were very clearly marked. In addition, the packaging also indicated which wire color connected to what wire on the aftermarket radio. This product was great for my application because I ran new wires to my speakers anyways! (Used in my 2002 Camry w/ JBL)

Definitely a wise investment.

There were just a couple of wiring questions that I had here involving exactly how to interface this with the deck I bought but everything worked out great. I certainly don't do this every day so I was a little green at it. I'm 66 years old, I'm sure a younger person could do it in a snap, I'm definitely not as fast as I used to be, but I got it done and I am thrilled to have it all working well.

Perfect for JBL OEM integration

I used this harness to install a DEH-80PRS in my 2001 Toyota Sequoia Limited, with the JBL system. pick a head unit with 4V+ RCAs and the factory system will really wake up.

Great product

This wire harness makes replacing the factory unit with an aftermarket head unit a breeze. Makes it so your can use the factory amp. The only thing that was a little confusing was the instructions did not mention the black/white wire wich needs to be grounded or you will get engine noise. Other than the instructions being slightly incomplete it's a really great product.
