Deep lows, outstanding SQL and a value that's unrivaled
The VC10 sub is designed to sound great and play loud with a price tag that beats its competition by a mile. I'm running this sub in a sealed .75cf box powered with a solid 800 watts continuous and I haven't been able to even get a hint of bottoming out. Even with its massive triple stacked BL motor the mounting depth is only 6" which will fit in just about every box. Thats not happening with a JL w6, a Hertz sx10 or a focal k2?sub. But the power handling of the VCW beats them all despite its compact size resulting in very deep lows. And it's dual spiders give it extremely good damping for fast response, outstanding sound quality and accurate reproduction. You can be assured that the specs are accurate in real world use. Before you buy do yourself a favor and compare the well known competition and you'll see that the VCW is a clear winner in price per performance. Doing your homework will only make you feel better when you hook this equipment up in your system. I couldn't be happier with my purchase and I'm willing to bet you'll feel the same way.

I have 1 of this 10" sub's in a ported box, & its loud...The bass is deep & clean. At first I was looking for a more popular brand (JL, Kicker, Pioneer...) but went for NVX brand & I love it. The design of this sub is great quality. It's heavy & beefy looking for a 10" sub.

I purchased a single nvx VCW104 in january of this year and just got around to building the perfect box to fit in my 2004 silverado single cab. The box is 1.73 cubic ft. and is ported with 4" pvc pipe. It fits behind my seat with same leg room as without a box. This sub is absolutely incredible. I am still breaking it in. I also have an alpibe swr104d and the nvx is definately a better sub at this point. The build quality of both are very good but I haven't had the nvx installed long enough to grade durability with experience but I would bet it will last for many years being such high quality. It hits lower notes and plays very loud not even broke in. You cant beat nvx for the money. I highly recommend the nvx subs. A must buy.

I was looking to purchase the jlw3's.after talking to the service/support group at sonic they recommended the nvx brand. I was sceptical because I hadn't heard of nvx before.I decided to take their advice.I'm running two vcw104 in a .55 cut ft box per speaker in a GMC 1500hd crew cab powered by a jad1200.1. My expectations weren't really to high with the small enclosure and it bn down fire under my rear seat.
Just had everything installed several hours ago and they honestly far exceded my expectations.even with this being break in period subs sound great.cant waittill next saturday to go back And get amp set up tO really drive them.Great sounding speaker for the price, mounting depth is good.will fit in spaces other speakers in its class wont.seems to be made pretty good and sturdy.cons-dont really have any that i see of.as far as durabitity time will tell,if they dont hold up ill update.great sound for a pretty good price.i would recommend
I'm running a pioneer 3400bvh deck with 4 focal door speakers Powered by the nvx jad800.4,two Vcw104 powered by the 1200.1 with nvx 1/0 gauge ampifier wiring kit.

found this helpful. The sub that gives me the best of both worlds!
I was looking for a sub to offer me the tight sound of a kick drum on rock (U2-Beautiful Day) or country (Flordia Georgia Line- Cruise), with the ability to reproduce low end sound on bass heavy RAP tracks like Lecrae's "Take Me as I Am."
This sub is amazing, I have it installed in an Atrend JL W7 box tuned at around 30hz, I had to have the hole enlarged to fit the sub.
It is being powered by a Hifonics Brutus BRX1100.1D bridged down to 2 ohms with 800 watts RMS.
This sub fills the cab of my '05 F150 Supercrew with amazing and gorgeous bass reproduction. I have it placed sitting length wise in the back seat with the right rear seat in the up position, and I now can seat 2 in the rear and 2 in the front, so I lost 1 seat, but added the bass that is truly satisfying.
To sum it up, I have found the sub that just gave me the best of both worlds!
Don't hesitate to give this sub a shot, I can only imagine the SPL if you ran 2 or more in your vehicle.
Thanks Sonicelectronix, you really helped me achieve the sound I was looking for and I love going for rides just to listen to the stereo.
Cheers!

I absolutely love my NVX VCW 10-4s. They are the best subs I have had out of the 4 systems I have had. These are even comparable in power and how hard they hit to my old Rockford Fosgate T1 12s. For anyone who is looking for a high powered system in a small package that will amaze everyone, these are definitely the route to go. This was the first time the audio shop I use have used or even heard of NVX. They are now looking to add them to their product line that they sell. Everyone there was impressed by the power and size. I have them in a 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 in a ported dual 10" fox acoustic box. If I could do it over again I would do this exact same set up in a heartbeat. If you are thinking of pulling the trigger on getting these subs, definitely do it! I promise you will not be disappointed. They also have great durability. I hve only had them for 30 days but they have been torture tested (and so was I indirectly lol) when I played them for 5 hours straight, full power, heavy bass songs without a single issue. I did this twice during a long road trip.

I had a JL 12W7 in a ported box and got tired of not having any trunk space. So I sold that off and got one 10" NVX dvc sub in the free sealed box (ported boxes were backordered)... I prefer to maximize the sound out of a sub with a ported box but, all I can say is WOW.. This little 10 in a sealed box thumps almost AS-GOOD as the 12w7 I had.. NVX uses a similar magnet frame setup as some other high end subs, which is typical of new brands. I am hooked, AND I have trunk space!! Kinda wish I had bought a second one.. Don't look any further, BUY ONE (or two) and you won't regret it.
The ONLY drawback was the sub did not come with mounting screws, and the opening on the free sealed box had to be enlarged because the sub would not fit.. minor problems..no biggie.

I own two of these and am running them at a 2 ohm load - They sound much bigger than they are! Solid subs that can take a beating. Can't beat the price or quality. Tip: Give these bad boys lots of room.. they need a ton of air and clean power.. (you should do this for most subs...) Have your box tuned to 32 hrtz and port it to spec.. you won't be disappointed.

Got 2 of these VCW dual 4s in a fox acoustic box costum made for my 1998 dodge ram extended cab the subs are both seeing about .7 cu ft each sealed I havnt ran sealed in years but I wanted my back seat back so I went with the under seat sealed fox box. With that being said there seeing about 400 rms a piece from a soundqubed 750.1 @ 1 ohm. They sound awesome and I know they want more power so as soon as I sell my Soundqubed amp im buying the NVX 1200jad. These subs sound good with all my music 70s,80s, rap, country, oldies, etc. Recommend these subs this brand and site.

I ordered 2 of these and put them in a 3 cubic foot ported box and at first tuned them to 32hz and it hit extremely hard down low. These was installed in a custom built box by myself in a 2015 camry right behind the seat firing forward and ported forward. It hit so hard the rear window and roof would flex damn near a inch and my rearview mirror fell off. I wanted a little more range in the frequency so I retuned the box with a different port tuned to 38hz and was amazed at the DB's I got out of these. They seriously pound this is the most hard hitting 10 inch subs I've ever owned. As a note if you're thinking of buying these they have major Xmax and need big ports or you'll get port noise. I used a 3" port PER a sub meaning 6" total port size and used aero ports and still had a tiny bit of turbulance from the ports. As a note I will say one of the subs had a tick noise from the very beginning that I think was due to poor shipping from ups as the boxes was beat to hell when I got them. I called and worked with sonic and decided to refund for other subs not because they aren't good but because the tick in one bothered me and I honestly wanted 15's anyways so why not since one needed swapped anyways. All in all I'd highly recommend these subs over any brand name currently for sale in it's class and price.

I bought a set of them. I have had them for about 6 months and I couldn't be happier with them. I have a system that puts out about 5000 Watts rms. I have 2 12in 3 tens and a 8in.and the 2 nvx will take a pounding. So if you want a good 10 inch woofer with no problems at a good price this is the one. You won't regret it!

I bought one of these for $45 a year or two ago, back when Sonic was trying to get the NVX brand out there. Could not be happier with my purchase. This thing hits all the frequencies in the music I listen to, and does it with considerable force. I can bump the knob all the way up and not hear a lick of distortion. Paired with a Kenwood KAC-5001PS and mounted in a bandpass box, the sound is amazing. I can take it easy and get subtle bass, or drop the knob and shake the mirrors. The flexibility is what impresses me most about this sub. Unfortunately, now that NVX is starting to gain some traction in the car audio community, the prices have increased. That being said, I would be happy with this sub even at the $162 price point, it is THAT good.

Purchased one of these for a box tuned a bit high (40 hz or so) for my ford wagon... yes its a wagon. And it sounded great for the box it was in. However i could tell it would sound better in a box tuned lower (32hz). So i finally grabbed a second one and decided to swap these two for the two i placed in the wifes 300. She had two pioneer champion pro 10s in a box tuned to 32 hz via aero port. The pioneers sounded great but i could tell the box was slightly too large for them as they would move a little too much and smell every now and then... this is where nvx comes in. once swapped the bass was more solid and even louder than before. there was no more smell nor excessive cone movement. the wife was thrilled and said would no longer be cranking her system to 40.
i installed nvx all throughout and sounds great!!

found this helpful. The Best Sub I've Owned
I've been into this crazy hobby since I got my first car at 17 years old in 1989. I've built, modified, upgraded more systems than I care to remember. I've owned subs from Pyle (when I had no money) Soundstream, Rockford, JL (overrated in my opinion) Audiobahn, JVC, Pioneer, and Polk to name a few.
I have had the sub just over one year. It is in a 2011 Nissan Sentra in a sealed, rear firing enclosure. This NVX sub is the best sub I've owned. I've had subs (like the Soundstream SPL 10s) That pounded hard. But they were not great for all kinds of music. They were great for hard hitting rock, some rap/hip hop, but not jazz or orchestral, if you like that kind of music. Some other subs I've owned have been very musical, but didn't hit hard. This is the first sub I've owned that can do it all.
I have it in a box that is just slightly larger than the recommended specifications. At 2ohm (wired in parallel) I am running 500 watts from a class D sub amp. I have it crossed over at 63hz with a 12db per 8va slope. I listen to all types of music. I might go from Metallica one day to Mahler the next to Miles Davis. The sub is incredibly musical and pounds your brain when you need it to. I highly recommend this speaker. For the money, I don't think you can find a better sub.
I've owned JL subs that cost twice as much that didn't sound as good.

I currently have 2 of these in a custom ported box under the back seat of my 2004 Chevy Silverado extended cab tuning off of a mix VAD1700 1. These tens feel like 15’s. I have recently swapped out my 8 other brand 10s in my console box which is just under 9 cubes @34hz powered by 2 nendo 2k strapped with 8 of these subs and it's just a night and day difference. These have better range right out of the box. Gotta love them low lows.
You can not go wrong with choosing these subs. Best bang for the buck.
Only downside, is beware of the cutout diameter. It is way bigger than what it states (but that could just be a typo). I had to cut the hole to 9.375" for it to fit.
27
found this helpful.Decent for price. BUT! I don't believe the 750rms & 1,500watt rating they have listed.
Sub is beautiful, nice big magnet, thick foam around the cone. But I Bought this sub after receiving a 1,600watt amp from a friend ( amp is an off brand amp) I don't know the true rating on the amp, (which it is a class D amp) So! it should the prefect amp for this sub?! I had it installed tuned the amp settings and did the break in procedure. After 1 week of just breaking it in, I turn the amps main output power up to about 75%, having the sub wired to 1 ohm. I thought well that should be good right? amp only puts out 1,600watt MAX. and as most amps are they usually only put out about 60-80% depending on the class type.Well needless to say within 30mins of playing it, I started selling the coils burning. (not fun). So at this point I'm questioning the 1,500watt max ratting on this sub. This was my experience, & Hopfully this proves to be helpful to someone. Thanks :)!

Just got a couple of these a few months ago after reading so many positive reviews. I had them running off a SoundQubed S1-1250 @ 4ohms, maybe 450 watts a piece, and they smoked after 2 months. They still play, but certain kick drums, I hear the coil hit. They sounded decent, had I paid more for them, I'd be pretty upset.

I bought two of these installed in a sealed box. They sound Great with my rock and metal music. They will also get down with rap and R&B. These bad boys are totally overbuilt. I totally recommend these as these are a great value compared to other subs at a similar price point. You’re getting an over built sub with 22 mm of excursion. And it bumps doe!!!

found this helpful.Awesome subs ! But considerations....
Okay first off, these are just some fantastic subwoofers, "especially for the price" ! Maybe the best value for a subwoofer on the market. You just know when your pulling these out of the box, that they are a high quality product !
Granted, the best sub in a cr@ppy box will still sound cr@ppy.
Now, on my first attempt, I went with the sealed Belva box from here. This was probably too drastic of a change for me, as I was coming from two "ported" 15"s. I knew they would not be "as loud".... but I hoped they would be more musical (SQ) and at least 'loud enough'. Not :(
But what was worse, was that these subs "DID NOT" drop right in, in spite of the fact they are listed at 9.06" (9 1/16") diameter, and the Belva box had 9 1/8" cutouts. So, without the proper tools, or space to work on speaker boxes {which is why I ordered a pre-built box in the first place} I had to hack on it for an hour, to get the subs to fit. Urggg.
But really, I needed a different box anyway....
It kills me that SE doesn't offer a really good box for this sub ? Nothing 1.5 feet, with a tuning of 30hz anyway, which is optimum for these subs :(
So I started looking for something on line. Looked, and looked, then finally, almost as a fluke, I stumbled across a "sub woofer specific" box, made by Atrend, actually designed for Digital Design 10" subs, and the specs were spot on ! 1.5 cubes per side, and tuned to 30hz ! Bam ! Felt like I was getting a custom box, at a pre-built price :)
Had to buy it locally though, as in spite of the fact that SE sells Atrend products, they don't list this box ? :( Anyway, maybe they can special order it ?
Anyway, so I got the box yesterday. And it also had cutouts of 9 1/8"..... And remember my 9.06" (9 1/16") NVX subs ? Well guess what ? They wouldn't drop right into this box either :( :( :( Back to hacking..... But I did find that a round rasp took out the required 1/8" or so, really quickly and easily.
So anyway, Sonic Electronix please, please correct the info on your subwoofers. They are NOT 9.06" (9 1/16") but are, in fact, 9.18" (9 3/16")
Long story short:
After wasting $50 on the sealed box, and having to hack on that one, plus the new one also, to make these subs fit.......
WoW ! Just wow ! I can't believe how good these things sound ! They are SO musical ! They dig deep, and shake your insides, yet play guitar bass very clean as well :)
Honestly, I can see myself using these just as they are, for a very long time :) Super happy with them, and don't feel like hacking on pre-built boxes anymore for a while :) lol
{an interesting side note; Remember how I said that this box, which was actually designed for Digital Design 10"s was just spot on for my NVX's a well ? I bet I know why... If I had to guess, these NVX 10"s are probably made by the same company in China, and 'are' in fact, DD mid-level 10"s, but just branded with the NVX label.... Which is not a bad thing at all, as DD subs are fantastic subs too, just probably twice the price as NVX subs}
All the more reason to buy these subs !

found this helpful.New believer in NVX
I needed a sub to replace my Alpine Type R 10". After talking to Jesse at Sonic Electronix he talked me into giving NVX a try. Let me just say that I am more than impressed. The SPL is great (comparable to a Type R) but the sound quality is, dare I say, comparable to a JL. This thing really moves in and out of the box and can handle really dynamic rhythms. It's renewed my love in electronic music for sure.
I had never heard of NVX before this purchase but I'm now a believer. You can bet I will be looking at NVX for subs and other audio products in the future. I'm very curious to try out one of their Amps and I plan to purchase 20sq feet of their sound dampener to see how it stands up to Dynamat.
Side note: Jesse from Sonic's support team went above and beyond to answer my questions. I keep his number handy in the case that anything comes up. I look to Sonic first now for everything because of the phenomenal experiences I've had with the support staff there. Thank you Jesse and thank you Sonic Electronix!
