Makes your old bunk oem stereo into an mp3 player!

I was stuck as the oem head unit in my cadi is part of the car alarm system and just cannot be removed without incredible hassles. To the rescue comes this nifty aux box, and its companion oem specific cable which plugs into my unused oem cd changer plug in the cadi trunk and gives me a jack i plug into my headphone connector of any of my MP3 players delivering great sound. Way better than the FM transmitter and the cassette to jack adapters i have tried. Word of warning, make sure and get the exact right cable. Let the guy help you with this. They know for sure which one is right. My first one became intermittent and so I lowered the durability rating. Sonic Electronix has kewl customer service and is replacing it for me free, which is why i keep coming back!

Nice upgrade to the existing stereo

Bought this for my 04 Silverado so that I could use the stock radio with mp3 player. What can I say, other than it does exactly what it's supposed to. As long as you're not shy about getting behind the dash, or know someone who can help, this is definitely worth it.

it works

I wanted higher quality audio connection to my iphone than my old a broken tape deck method had provided. I was a little nervous to pull apaprt the console but there were great instructions online for my jeep. The only draw backs are that when I plug it in it makes some popping sounds, and when I turn the car on, the radio clock flashes 1:00 / 2:00 / 1:00 other wise the sound quality is a definite improvement. One other weird thing is that when the iphone goes to phone mode it doesn't play audio through but I don't talk on the phone much in the car so not a deal breaker by any means.

Good product

I would recommend this product for anyone. The only thing I had a problem with was the directions for installing this product. I had to do a little research online to get the info.
