Great!

This is a great product and works flawlessly. You do have to program each button but it took maybe 30 minutes to set up. The instructions explain it pretty well. It's also best to punt the IR sensor in the dome light housing or in the pillar, or anywhere overhead facing the radio. This adapter works just like a remote, so the IR sensor needs to be close to facing the radio for the best response.

PAC SWI-X

Great product. I had an SWI-PS on my Sony deck and it worked great. I changed decks to a Pioneer unit that didn't have the mini jack plug, so I needed the SWI-X unit. For me it was a simple switch modules and plug in my existing harness, program it, point the led transmitter in the right direction, and it worked flawlessly.
I highly recommend the PAC line of accessories.

Unfortunately doesn't fit my car

Doesn't fit Mazda6 2011. The wiring diagram wasn't exactly the greatest and therefore after consulting Mazda Technicians never installed the unit into the vehicle. So maybe on previous models years of the vehicle it may fit or maybe other Mazda models but not mine! :/

Two options

this unit requires optical link to the remote sensor. My new head unit had wired remote capability so I went to that one instead. Still have this one ready to install if you want to buy one cheap

Excellent product! Reasonable price and works as advertised. Unit can be programmed to any settings from the remote.
