Not a bad starter

Just received the unit and the installation when almost flawlessly. Need to make sure the gray wire is grounded to chassis and not a metal strip in plastic.

Other than that, the Pyle PLDBT30U installation went very well and it is a good replacement for a factory FM/AM/CD unit. Even though the screen is small for viewing movies, it is nice for when you are waiting for someone. If I really want to watch a movie, I will watch it on my 52" LCD. Bluetooth is very nice, clear sounding on both ends. No more ear piece, yeah... Big fingers on a small touch screen, takes some getting used to, but it is ok.

Overall, for the price and feature set, it is a very good unit. I would recommend it without reservations.

Almost every feature, decent price

This deck does just about everything you could ask for. "BUT" if you are buying it for the reason of using it for the telephone Bluetooth feature, "FORGET IT" It does not come with an external microphone that clips onto your visor. The microphone on this deck is just a tiny hole located on the deck itself. I first installed this Pyle deck into a very quiet car and when I made my first bluetooth call, the person on the other end could barely hear or understand my voice. One other complaint is the instruction manual is a joke. Many typo's and it seems like it was written by a toddler. Installation is very easy and there is a complete wiring diagram on the deck body itself. I really enjoy putting my music on SD cards and playing them through this deck. So again, lots of cool features easy install but do not buy it for the bluetooth. You will be disapointed. If bluetooth is important to you. I found that Pioneer, Clarion, Alpine works great and they all have options to adjust echo and noise cancellation. I am sure there are many others that work well also? Just make sure that if you're buying a deck so you can make calls through your stereo that the deck comes with a wired microphone that can be placed onto a sun visor or somewhere close to your mouth. The RMS power on this deck is misleading as well. This deck definitely needs secondary amplifiers to get good sound.

Wow!!

This thing is really nice. I bought it for my finance's car and after installing, it booted up and worked like a charm. The touchscreen takes some getting used to but works like a charm. The Bluetooth and Touchscreen is what sold me on this. For the price you can't get a better system.

Decent

I bought the Pyle PLDBT30U and installed it myself a day ago. The unit is pretty good overall. It sounds good, but sometimes there's a bit of static while performing some operations. The DVD feature is useless. Any time you try to play a dvd, a screen comes up that won't go away that says:"Warning: For your own safety, do not watch while driving.". When your in the DVD menu, it won't go away, ever.

good buy

installed one in my van about 6 mouth ago and still working fine.
PROS....sound quality it great and have volume to along with it.
bluetooth works better and sounds clearer than I expected.
fit perfect in my mazda pick-up
The sd card is very handy and is out of site(I use it 80% of the time)
CONS...instruction manual is limitted, you have to figure out some suff
for yourself. Track names etc.. is too small. You have a limitted time to start the vehicle or the bluetooth will disconnect. RCA connections at the back is to bulky

Very Pleased

I just bought the Pyle PLDBT30U it is a nice replacement for a factory radio. The installation was easy. The only problems i have had are presetting my radio stations. And the display doesn't have many options for what goes on the screen but that is easy to get over.
