Not worth it

I bought this sub a week ago, and it does pound. But only with certain notes, to be honest I wasn't impressed or satisfied at all. It completely misses the higher bass tones, it sounds kind of bad to. I would go with two re audio sxx 12's, I had two of those and those blew this sub out of the water by far, for a little bit more. I personally was not satisfied with this. if you are getting this sub to listen to hip hop and rap, I wouldn't, go with the re audio sxx. I wouldn't spend the $*** on this for how it sounds.

Extreme Audiophile w High Quality Taste - Read This

I owned the 05 Model Briefly , It was Equivalent to my two hifonics olympus xxv 2400 15"s and slightly deeper.. i was blown away but sold it because I liked the idea of two fifteens,. That being said , I got rid of the Navigator i owned and went to a coupe...remembered the xxx and began to drool over the new model. I received it and was ever so impressed with the sheer size of it. .. however , it wouldnt fit in my fourth order.. so i tore out a box that cost me 750 bucks to have built.. and built one from 1" thick mdf and 3/4" new zealand birch doubled up ( Tunes at 35hz). The baffle ( Speaker Hole Mount ) is 3" thick to be able to support the weight of the XXX 15" ( 84ish lbs.) Im currently Running the Single Re XXX at 2ohm on a Hifonics Colossus 3200rms @ 2 ohm .. with several kinetik batteries , and a high current alternator ( 270a Mechman) Audiotechnix 0 Ga. Fine Strand Copper And several 400amp fuses... off of the factory headunit in a 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe. If you want Loud , this is loud . If you want deep , This speaker murders low frequencies .. more so than the Orion HCCA 15"... If Youre After True Sound Quality , whether it be rock , rap , techno, or dubstep.. This Woofer keeps up with anything you throw at it... If you want pure SPL , It Delivers hands down. Im Running ONE and it sounds more clean and more impressive than most set ups ive seen running four 15" woofers... and definitely more impressive than the tahoe i saw with 38 8"s ... and 38 8"s is pretty impressive. Not a single uneducated individual believes that I house a Single 15". If you want Shock Value - This is the Woofer to grab People - Ive been doing Audio for some time now , and this product is by-far one of the most well built speakers out there (I called and talked to RE HQ and found that They actually hand-make each one and it takes about a week to do it - step by step - letting glue dry , adding spiders , etc etc) , DO NOT LET ANYONE TELL YOU OTHERWISE. Oh and FYI It handles much more than its recommended RMS. Im a true Audiophile and this woofer has satisfied my every desire. believe it. have a Great Day.
p.s.
Tune it low - 30's or lower
