You get what you pay for
I am completely underwhelmed by this detector. I've had it for one day now, and have already encountered three different police units "taking my picture". All were using K band radar units. Good thing I wasn't speeding in any any of those instances, because this unit did not even start going off until I was within 300 feet of the police unit.... on a clear road..... coming right at me (and it was not set for "city" function - which reduces sensitivity). And it wasn't "instant-on" radar either, because the signal built as the unit closed with me to a max pitch about 100 feet away. I was able to visually pick up the police units a good 20 seconds before the detector let me know I was being scanned.
Also as to the 360 degree aspect..... the unit stopped reporting the police radar once it was no more than 50 feet in my rear view. I confirmed this with a stationary speed reporting radar unit.
