Fits the old radio socket perfectly. Just add the radio and you're done. So much better than trying to fill it in myself or create some sort of faceplate. Not in love with the CD slot but they had to do something with the extra space.

Good fix

This product proved to be a good fix for my conversion from stock radio (that was the third that became defective) to a more reasonable one that is not a Ford provided product. It worked well for my purpose and the storage area adds to help keep things uncluttered in my console.

This fit well in a 2004 Ford Expedition. I should note, though that even when the metal head unit sleeve was mounted as tightly as possible, there was still slight movement. So, for basic head unit integration, this is good, but if you want absolute security, I'd opt for building a custom head unit cage.

That said, this as a free product with a head unit is priceless.

Better than Factory

Got this unit free with my Boss 508 head unit. It fit perfectly in my Ford Explorer. I was surprised at the quality of the construction. Truly I was expecting something more flimsy, but was completely happy with the look and quality of this product. I recommend this product to everyone.

Not for 2002 Ford Explorer Sport

Did not fit in my 2002 Ford Explorer Sport, although this website says that it will. However, if this product does fit in your car, and you are sure that it will, it is good quality.

Looks great and fits perfectly in my car. The only bad point is that I can't fit my hand into the little storage well directly under the stereo. I was going to put the little remote To the stereo in that storage well, but I still cant get it out. I had to pull it out with my knife blade, but as long as you don't put anytging small in there like sn ipod or mp3 player youre good.

Mustang XD Radio converter

Made installing an XD unit a 'drop in' job on a 2001 Mustang. Replaced OEM unit perfectly AND gives small storage 'cubby' under XD unit that did not exist with OEM unit. Easy to follow instructions.

Looks Great

I would recommend this to anyone installing an aftermarket radio in their mustang. It looks like my car came from the factory with a JVC. Although the compartment under it really isn't big enough to put anything in.
