This is the closest I've ever come to writing something negative about a product that I've ordered through Sonic. It's not their fault though, since they're going by what the manufacturer tells them. The color key that Scosche provided on the packaging did NOT match the OE wiring that came with the Chevy Silverado. I either had too many wires for one function, or not enough. Since this model truck had a very inconveniently located micro-head unit and a separate cassette player, I needed to trace out several wires that were either redundant, or could have been anything. This got even more complicated due to the fact that I was deleting the use of the factory head unit other than keeping it to fill the hole, and provide a clock...and trying to mate up a new Kenwood deck. Chevrolet also has the climate controls operating off the same wiring harness, so I could have really used some help here.
Frankly, I've always gone with making my own wiring harnesses, and wound up doing the same here. The only reason I even bothered with this monkeyshine at all was per the owner's request. I have to say DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY on this kludge.
Again, this is NOT Sonic's fault; it's just a quirky, flawed product that a normally reliable vendor sold to them.
